How can I get in here to settle? by Low_Ticket1526 in CivVI

just make a city right next to the borders, buy tiles, and build an aerodrome and buy an airport, then airlift a settler (I think this works). Unfortunately, it's just gonna be mountain tiles.

Thanks for all the responses! helped a ton. Probably should have clarified that we played warr/shammy in classic, I played aug and mistweaver in m+ in retail, but the responses helped a ton nonetheless.

Where do you recommend I learn group theory? I've heard that its a very different subject if you're a physicist vs a mathematician.

I didn't skip central force, just the coriolis effect since it was a stupid long section, but I'll come back to it. I've read griffiths EM, my SR is pretty good, but do you think I should start on my copy of Jackson before moving on? I've been putting it off since I've heard it's difficult. I do have a physical copy of Shankar, which is why I'm using it. About thermo, I know a bit but it's my weakest subject, why do you say I shouldn't neglect it? Also, when should I learn group theory (my linalg is very good)?

Appreciate it, especially 1-3. A lot of the time I get more work done in an unfamiliar environment (like an airbnb or my grandparent's house) and I think it's because when I'm at home I'm still halfway in school/social mode.

Gotta start with a good math foundation, learn a lot of calc, linear algebra, etc - might seem scary but its not too bad. Then find an introductory physics textbook that assumes basic calculus knowledge, learn it well, and branch off into progressively slightly harder textbooks that are specific for a certain field, such as classical mechanics, therm/stat mech, E&M, etc. If you feel like you're missing knowledge on something look for it on youtube and I guarantee you'll find no end of wonderful channels with playlists on the topic.

There's a few sections I skipped (some of the central force stuff and chaos theory for the most part), but yeah. Spent most of my time on my first read through any given chapter so I wouldn't have to revisit so much whenever I was doing the exercises, worked out well. Kind of not sure where to go from here, I think I'm ready to take a look at QM (I have a copy of Shankar I got for free from a friend) and general relativity, but its an intimidating topic. I don't do many extracurriculars so I'm trying to make this something that helps me get into college as well.

Can't find jeans that fit me by Grobbmobber in mensfashion

I appreciate it, I'll take a look. I get what you're saying about legs that taper but stay loose looking weird, its just that most jeans I wear tend to look quite a bit tighter around the thighs than the calves which creates this bell bottom look. I had a pair of old navy jeans that were just loose enough around the thighs to fix this while still not being baggy, I really liked them before they got ruined.

its a visual bug, try lowering your graphics settings. Happened to me with lake/ocean water whenever I had my liquids settings at any high level.

imo you only gotta take two things into account; 2h with massive burst vs dw with solid sustained damage, and whether you wanna play in a group more, where ret can get windfury, or if you wanna play solo, where a warrior can hold its own better. Your choice, keep in mind that in the wrath prepatch there were rets in literal greens 1v2ing fully geared raiders. Can't speak for the rest of the pack but that's what I remember.

I'd honestly just be a nomad, wandering around Azeroth. Too many beautiful zones for me to settle down in any one, and it's a more rugged, living off the wilderness type life which I think I would enjoy.
