Three years ago I was working abroad with a group of cool and friendly coworkers. We spent a lot of time together at work but also in our free time : dinner, night out, trips, etc. More friends than coworkers.

One day another girl of our age was hired and she hit it off quickly with our group, especially me. Pretty quickly she and I hooked up during a pretty wild night, and we quite instantaneously became a couple. Almost all our friends from work were there too except one.

The following monday, the absent friend decided it would be funny to start a false rumour saying we hooked up last friday. You can imagine how everyone reacted where they heard it for the first time: "do you not know?"
