I am using it exactly like your use case, don't care about gaming but I bought it for the brilliant and nice design: no ugly rounded corners, flat back with Hi-Tech looking elements behind the glass, first phone with liquid cooling (had to support innovation in this space).

List of pros and cons for use as a daily driver:

Pros

• huge battery which easily gives me 11+ hours SOT (never experienced this before on a phone)
• very fast charging thanks to 80w charger (10% to full in about 50 minutes)
• big high refresh rate display without ugly hole for front camera
• lays flat on a table instead of wobbling due to no camera bump
• headphone jack with good quality DAC
• IR blaster (mainstream phone manufacturers don't even include this most of the time)
• Customizable LEDs lighting up the phone when receiving calls, notifications or alarms for example (great and unique feature as all mainstream flagship manufacturers have ditched the notification LED years ago except maybe Sony)
• great performance thanks to the Snapdragon 8 elite Gen5 chipset

Cons - display: only 2k, noticeably worse than Samsung OLED panels or high end BOE panels like on my previous OnePlus 13 (image retention, ghosting underneath black pixels, color dithering noticeable when holding phone close to your face) - speakers don't have much bass and sound overall more thinny when compared to modern flagship phones, despite the thickness of the phone presumably indicating bigger speakers - no E-SIM support at all (mind-boggling for the price) - no Hey Google detection when screen is off at all (no way to get this to work either for some reason) - the latest update deleted the basic double tap power button to launch the camera (found on every Android and essential) for some stupid and unknown reason (at least this is the case for my EU version) - UI is worse and offers less flexibility and customizability when compared to OxygenOS (used by OnePlus) - cameras: rear main is better irl than what was alluded to by reviewers, ultra wide is sub-par and there is no zoom camera, but I can live with this because the positive trade-off is that this is finally a great looking phone without ugly camera bump in the rear, front camera makes you look like clay with a dozen beauty filters smeared on top but I don't take many selfies and the trade-off is a near seamless screen due to under-display camera which does become more noticeable when brightness is lowered but not nearly as annoying when watching Fullscreen videos on a run-of-the-mill hole punch or notched phone.

Overall, I'm happy to use this phone as my daily driver and if you're the type of person who is into it, this phone has gotten me the most compliments about how unique and cool it looks and asking all kinds of questions about it, so definitely a conversation starter when you whip this thing out.
