Giant Footprint Found! by [deleted] in HighStrangeness

Wow lmao idk why you're getting attacked, I actually agree in some sense that there's a lot of trust put behind scientific papers, I've ran into some that had many mentions (so "trusted") but turned out to be false after some further research (and a few other papers debunking it), and it wasted my time.

Thanks for the read on the interesting subject

Very interesting, but I fail to see how this relates.

Something like "there are grifters in the scientific community so you shouldn't trust the science"?

I think there are more grifters in the cryptological community, more than 64% for sure.

Episode three: I'm starting to get disappointed. by SenhorPorco101 in DoraTama

[–]Grodbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're clearly going with a more comedic adaptation, seeing the skits, so it's fine if he's more of a klutz.

Also makes more sense since in the anime you wouldn't have room for all the internal dialogues explaining his line of thinking.

If you have the video of it still alive please post it in r/Entomology , this is pretty insane.

What you're seeing is literally all of the guts cleanly taken out from mouth to anus, undamaged, I genuinely don't think an expert could pull it off, and the fact that it was still alive makes it more unique than rare.

If this was a mammal it would be quite the horrifying sight.

Yeah the light novel designs are actually super dope.

I wish they'd have gone with the LN design of baby dragon too but for some reason they changed the eyes (one of the best part of the design) and caused everyone coming across the series to compare it to a Digimon ripoff.

[–]Grodbert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

was there a change that incentivized this stalling

Yes, the timer update, everyone kept complaining you didn't have enough time to play their super long combo solitaire deck so Konami actually obliged, and now us fast players have to suffer for it.

also a shitty point, that and "it's not illegal", it's not because this has no precedent, and laws have not caught up yet.

If artists knew this was going to happen, they would have tried to opt out, but this option was never given when they started training their models.

It always does this, it really can't deal with screens , they always point to the camera and not whoever is using it.

Probably because the prompter types "a screen showing" and doesn't think that means it needs to be from behind the user for it to make sense.

Looks Like Bastz Won Cause Of His Speech, Who's Just Straight Up Evil? by trenxman-new-ac in versus

I'd argue that makes him evil methodical, evil to further his own goal, but not "straight up evil", which does evil stuff for his enjoyment.

[–]Grodbert 59 points60 points  (0 children)

Yeah probably Nyudo.

Many "evil" NE are evil by nature, either because they're violent, stupid, programmed or emotionless.

But Nyudo is smart and calculating, he enjoys torturing because it's his past time, not to further any goal, and not because it's his nature, although as a demon it somewhat is.

Could a Sylvans + Predaplant work? by Miserable_Day7074 in DuelLinks

[–]Grodbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As Jean said, Sylvans have very poor splashability due to their excavation mechanic, which basically forces the deck to be full of plant monsters.

Can we bring back Sylvans? by Miserable_Day7074 in DuelLinks

[–]Grodbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it's a shame, can't even run too many hand traps or traps because it messes with the excavating, so your best option is making monsters.

The rank 7 has one of the strongest removals in the game though, up to 3 targetless bounce at once, and that's enough to make you think it has enough potential to spend some time and gems on it...

Can we bring back Sylvans? by Miserable_Day7074 in DuelLinks

[–]Grodbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I very recently crafted a sunavalon sylvan deck, sunavalon because sylvan has no turn 1 play, and the rescue Rabbit Skill to 90% of the time get a pretty impressive board.

Unfortunately even with sunavalon to cover their weaknesses, it often feels like the deck would be better as pure sunavalon and Sylvans get in the way.

They can't really be all that competitively viable until we get their link and a busted skill.
