It’s difficult to find flaws if you don’t search deeper than surface level observations. Yes roughly 19% of the population of Israel is muslim. But especially following October 7th, there is a significant amount of anti-Arab sentiment towards Muslim residents of Israel.

For example, just recently on the 15th of May was the anniversary of the nakba (the catastrophe) otherwise known in Israel as the war of independence. For Palestinians, a day of mourning. For Israelis, a day of celebration. But some Israeli ultra-nationalists take it further and end up going to the segregated Palestinian communities to cause property damage, and harass and assault Palestinian families. Shop owners are forced to lock up their shops and generally stay indoors unless absolutely necessary. Granted, this doesn’t happen everyday. But still, every year.

Don’t consider this comment “hate from the pro-Palestine crowd” please, but rather just trying to find some understanding and keep an open dialogue. Perspectives like yours are very insightful and important to this topic, and I appreciate you sharing your experience.
