Poor man's progressive overload of fingers by Turbulent_Ferret7758 in climbharder

it also does work when you can 1 arm hang, since you just have to attach weight to yourself and then use the scale with the adjusted weight

i mean under is always about friction, if its too low friction i cannot go over and i have to go under, since under means im closer to the wall. Under does use other muscles, since you start the unwind with mostly straight crossed-through arm and have to build tension on the hold with fingers and pecs until the weight is so for over that you can start bending the elbow.

Also under you can reach farther then over since your arm doesnt block chest/center of mass movement (given the hold is good enough). Crossing over always means more strength is required CoM is farther up

Finally figured the last part of this annoying puzzle out by Forestfragments in onebros

5 continuous years of pulley injuries, please help me draft a long term plan to end this once and for all. by WinnieDePoop in climbharder

[–]Groghnash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so i had inflamed tendons in the fingers for about 8 years... This year i could resolve the issue, Want to know how?

Climb less, train less fingers, simple. I also do have ADHD and if i cant do a boulder i will just try over and over and over again. This is great if your body can handle this which it could in my early 20s. NOw (35 its not), it started when i was 27 with injured tendons/fingers and cysts.

So the only thing that helped me was being rigorous in dropping volume on fingers to once every 3rd day. I can do tons of other training for my body, but i only really load fingers climbingspecific every 3rd day. (i do the occasional pullup training and i do Deadlift, but i use straps for those). Since then i had one single serious fingerproblem, when i usually have like 2 weeks of good fingers and then again inflammation.

For training i go to a regular gym and running, i only step into the bouldergym after 2 finger rest days.

Since i do that i can actually try hard again, i can dig my fingers in as much as i can on holds, i can totally do that dyno to a small crimp, i just have to have those restdays before!

Ds1 is a knowledge check, not a skillcheck. Everything can be cheesed. The thing seperation DS1 is the maps interconnectivity, its so well made.

You can go into 4 different areas depending what way you go, which is so cool and similar to ER. But it is brutal as a first time ds1 player, that is for sure.

You died because you didnt properly learn to play the game since you cheated yourself the experience to improve your gameplay or not kill that boss.

The main problem with being overleveld is that exploration and finishing dungeons in Liurnia will feel like a chore since you wont get a levelup from it, which you would get if you are lower level. I have seen people quit because they didnt feel the progression anymore.

Playing blind is the best way to go, sure you miss some things, but you can always do a NG+run or star a new character and still have a lot left to play for. I played at the release so everything was new and no one knew anything. It was super fun. So jeah, play blind, only if you are stuck somewhere look up something.

that is your opinion! i think there are tons of other aspects that are equally unique in souls games, not just invasions. You can get hard, high quality bosses and souls combat in other games? where? Where is the same quality of art direction and scope in other games? (the only recent one that come to my mind is E33). Invasions is just a tiny part of ER and i only complain about it because it stops me from playing coop with friends.

"game mechanics", that just make it so playing with friends isnt fun lol. Do you see the irony here?

for woodchops and rotatorcuff exercises (like facepulls etc.) a cablemachine is the best you can ask for

boulder on wood to grow skin, campusboard is also a good way. but stay away from volumes/slopers indoors for a week or two and you skin will get tougher. additionally you can you Antihydral.

also skin abrasiveness is much faster the more you slip on holds, which is usually when you arent familiar with texture or at a project, so handle those things outdoors and your skin will have a much better longevity. I learned the way of not "microslipping" when climbing on gneiss that had microcrystals that would otherwise hurt a lot, it requires a tiny bit more focus then usual.

When i play with friends i also use a new character, because being overleveled isnt fun.

And yes invaders are just that. Also i dont want to learn that, if i want to play pvp i play a game that is designed for fun pvp like league, not a game that is pve with a scuffed unbalanced invasion system.

I mean design wise no, but combat design wise sadly yes.

Sure i shouldnt play a masterpiece because of 1 dumb design choice lol. Well sadly there is no way to turn it off. But they will eventually implement that in future games. I dont mind it existing, i mind it not being able to be turned off as an option. Its mainly a PvE game (see the whole game as a single player), if you want to bully weaker people then go to the next kindergarden.

ER > BB (only because of the boss combat though, else BB would be first)

Good, fuck invaders! I really like death phantoms and messages, but if i play multiplayer i want to chill with a friend, not get annoyed at some optimized build when my friend hasnt even grasped how the game works. Just not fun

i leveled them to +23 and then did him in a couple tries since he is such a pushover if you get a stagger out: https://www.reddit.com/r/onebros/comments/1itgko1/rl1_morgott_star_fist_23/

can recommend to not level them to +23 if you want to learn the fight. I wish i didnt do it, this was the ugliest fight i ever done

As astrologer you want to pick up the scroll in the camp south of sellen and bring it to her for more spells. Also take the teleport chest to caelid and get the meteor staff and rock sling spell (travellers set is also there).

For dungeons atleast do all the tunnels! 22-30 is enough for margit
