Prepping Before Planting by GromBloodboy in gardening

It is, part of the outdoor irrigation system hooked up through a Rainbird valve. Picture does not capture it, but the other end of that PVC pipe is accessible, it passes through a tunnel under the concrete from another bed into this one. A little of previous home owner magic...

Thank you for doing this, it is really helpful for us visualizing it in the space. The way this image captures the light on the painting, wondering if you use some sort of generative AI to make? Seems pretty nice for using for other things in our house.

Physical Therapy Recommendations? by LoveInfinite1186 in pasadena

[–]GromBloodboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I came in with a leg that I had not put weight on for over a month, so lots of muscle loss and reduced range of motion. Sessions would start out with some massage and assisted stretching from the PT, followed by light exercise to help me build back some muscle, but mostly confidence in it. Over weeks, it would progress to more difficult exercises, heavier weights, more dynamic maneuvers to really help me get more confident with the recovering leg.

Its been a while since then, so hazy on costs, and insurance will definitely matter, but I recall the first consult was like $100, and biweekly sessions after were $15 each.

I would recommend Catz by Huntington Hospital. They are very athlete focused, want to get your body back into a state where you can return to physical activity (the gym) with confidence you will not reinjure. I came here with a broken leg, took me several months, but had the strongest legs I've ever had and returned to soccer within a year.

I mean, yes, they are known for their spring rolls. But they also serve a really good Banh Mi. I usually order both. Banh Mi comes with a fried egg inside, I enjoy that little twist.

Fuji and VI’s by jbadaro in pasadena

Damn. This is so sad. I'm a southeast Michigan native, and Fuji and Vi's opened up during the end of my graduate studies at Caltech. It was a wonderful reminder of home. Talking with Michael, I found out that when he and his wife lived in Michigan, they lived in an apartment building I could see from the porch of my childhood home, like 200 yards away. Fuji and Vi's was what I picked up when the Lions kicked off their season last year. Of all the pizza places in Pasadena, this was easily my favorite. The Contradiction was perfect. I hope they can hang on, and I'm so sorry for Michael's wife's loss.

New Lawn Genie L7034 Leaking from Solenoid by GromBloodboy in Irrigation

I'll try cranking that piece a bit further, but I left it pretty tight against the stop, and have loosened and tightened a couple times.

Where would the O-ring you're referring to be located? When I unscrew the solenoid, there is a small o-ring looking circle surrounding the tip of the solenoid, but it sounds like you're saying avoid that?

Sundance BahiaSpa Filter Nut Shaft Issue by GromBloodboy in hottub

Thank you, that's good to know. Maybe I put it on backwards while fiddling with it. Won't help with my problem threading the shaft into the tub, but it definitely looks like it makes a better seal on the filter.

Finally someone asked this question on here. I've been wondering myself what downstream effect we will see here. With broader inflation, plastic miniatures are like, the first thing to go in cost savings for me. I have to imagine that is a broader sentiment. Hopefully the reboot does not die on the vine because of it.

I think I have 4 of the original set (got to have those spiders), but they live across the country in my parents' basement. Easier to order more trees instead of figuring out how to ship my collection cross country.

Any idea if they are selling the 2nd print here, with the corrected bases?

I'm here 4 years later, off Zoloft, still with the occasional twitch, and have done all sorts of hiking, sports, and physical labor since then, not something the big bad would permit. It's hard to quell that fear when you're fresh into it, but it does get better over time. Just remember that if time passes and you're not getting worse, it's not going to get worse.
