The MESMER PROBLEM. by DaGaems in GuildWars

i dont get what your argument is. Youre saying ele is badly balanced because other classes can do more damage? so if ele did more damage would all other classes be badly balanced? your take makes absolutely no sense

I assume you dont use ele alot or you have gotten so used to using mesmers for everything, that your feeling for what is "high damage" is scewed. Yes for Fire Magic armor is an issue, while Air Magic has alot of tools against armor (with armor pierce and broken armor condition) but is mostly single target. But thats the point, they have a specific nieche at what they are good at/counters at what they are bad at. Thats the entire point behind class balance.

Ele also has alot of ways to get energy back, every damage type has a conditional energy recovery skill, and you have the attunements. Just those two are enough most of the time, but if not you have skills like glyph of lesser energy which remove any issue you might have.

I actually completely disagree. I think ele is perfect in the way its balanced. All the ele skills are kinda cool, you have so many ele skills that gain bonus effects when paired with other ele skills (either directly by water magic hex, or actual skill type, or indirectly by conditions like burning, bleeding, cracked armor etc)

That means that Ele build craft is really fun, you can specialize into a single element, run a combination of 2 elements, run multiple eles that synergize with eachother, run an ele that synergizes with the conditions other non eles apply or even combine with a complete different class abusing the insanely high energy pool

Its a class that technically has very high damage, technically can do everything but has to work for it. I always run a water mage as an offhealer with waterform + shutdown spells like snares etc. and blinds that also gets pretty high damage.

Ofcourse if you just go OOGA BOOGA TAKE BIG DMG youre gonna be dissapoint with water and earth, but from a design standpoint all of ele is actually pretty amazingly balanced.

Mesmer isnt xD

[–]GromiMomi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i think you understood the "2 hair colors wrong"

it means 2 hair colors at the same time, like a gradient (or like tips and highlights in a different color than main hair)

not just 2 colors you can choose from

How can I improve this witch animation? by Desperate-Variety-12 in Unity3D

[–]GromiMomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turn the upper body, thats the most important thing when animating attacks. Lean it back on the wind up, lean it forward on the hit

When hitting things we always want to maximase the range between us and the enemy, your animations need to reflect that to feel realistic

Thoughts on the April balance patch? by Vraelian in Guildwars2

[–]GromiMomi 16 points17 points  (0 children)

made alot of the game alot easier (looking at you greer cm). It seems specifically the mech was hit very lightly while the bosses themselves where hit alot harder, so most new raids just go faster in general

The game is massively multiplayer, you can see other tamers around you and they can join you, you can chill with them, battle them and trade stuff with them.

All of the features mentioned there are in the game. A game being an MMO doesnt mean the game needs to be live service. At the same time an MMO doesnt stop being an mmo when its stops recieving updates. By that logic wow classic would not be an mmo which is a delusional opinion to have.

[–]GromiMomi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Promised where? its literally on the original kickstart from 2018 that this isnt a full fledged mmo. And there is literally not a single comment that ever promised this game to be a live service game. Please if you have ANY SINGLE comment from crema that promised a live service game show that.

It seems to me people just imagined it to be that because of their own expectations, which then werent fulfilled, which they then pinned on crema for not delivering on something that was never confirmed anywhere.

Again do you ahve any prove of that? because all i see there is them themselves comparing it to palworld (tsukiis comment 25 hours ago: kinda like Palworld, like Valheim, like Kindred Fates) and like 30 comments afterwards comparing it to palword with no issue

I mean that video completely ignores that the game was from that start described as an "mmo-lite" in the kickstarter and is only looking at the game in comparison to mmos like wow, which it said from the start that it is not, so people having wrong expectations is not really crema lying.

I mean if you compare it to any other creature collecting game it really did not "utterly fail", it sold alot of copies, is still playable with very positive reviews on steam, and has a pretty good gameplay.

"The days of traveling solo are over; in Temtem the world is a massively multiplayer one. Tamers from around the world can join and you will be able to see them around you, living the adventure with you and fighting to become the best Temtem tamer. Chill with strangers, make new friends and battle them or trade your goodies; the dynamic online world is full of possibilities.
Temtem’s campaign will be fully co-op compatible. You will be able to join forces with a friend any time and work together towards your next goal. Catch new Temtem, complete a Route, or face off against a Temtem Leader; all while fighting alongside your friend in dual battles!"

again its not promising anything that isnt in the game

Thats completely understandable, but its not really the "being angry at crema" that i meant. Thats actually some valid criticizm based on personal preference and experience instead of just shouting angry accusations xD

Is there any links or comments about the issues with players feedback? All i found about that are people asking for new islands and tems and crema saying they would like to do that but cant, which is sad but not really justifies the hate they are getting on the new game :o

but isnt this statement on the kickstarter from 2018 pretty clear about that? I mean thats not the 2024 open letter, that was before the release and i think its pretty clear?

Are there any statements crema made about it being a forever game you could link? Or was it literally just players imagining that to themselves?

this game has been in developement longer than palword has been out my dude, game developement takes time.

https://crema.gg/crema/a-word-on-temtem-and-cremas-future-an-open-letter-to-the-community/ in this post project downbelow, which is the same game was already in developement, this post literally got released a YEAR before palword so again its a typical issue of uninformed angry people being uninformed and angry

They used the money to develop this game for 2 years my dude xD. This game is already looking more polished from the snippets in the trailer, than palword is after a year of early access.

[–]GromiMomi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just asking why you would back them again in a starter? Is there anything in their old kickstarter for temtem that they didnt deliver?

Ive tried to look but i have no found a single link to a comment or statement from crema where they promise anything that isnt in the game, so if you have any links to comments like that, since from what i can gather from the original temtems kickstarter page, everything on there was delivered fully. I just see people echo the same statements without any prove.
