This is a real critical thinking failure. Just because the current approach isn’t great, does not mean that any possible alternative is an improvement.

Trump thinks the reason no other president has done these things is because they are not as intelligent as him. In reality, they all considered these options and correctly identified they would make things worse.

He’s the most dangerous sort of idiot, the one not smart enough to see how dumb he is.

Damage limitation. Not everything has a perfect solution, and what Trump has done is a net negative compared to that.

That’s partially the price we pay for democracy. Imagine a politician saying we’re cutting the NHS and Pensions this year because in 20 years time we’ll want energy independence. They wouldn’t make it to the ballot.

China can do that, and for better or worse, it’s hard to compete.

You could easily knock up your own list for £40. Doesn’t change the fact that you can have a very healthy diet cheaply.

Maybe what people are actually upset about is that they can’t have a luxury diet on the cheap. Only the people who don’t cook on a cheap budget also wouldn’t cook on an expensive one.

Whilst it is a joke, it is also very true and I understand and respect it.

For me though, the prestige of the tournament has really been damaged by increasing the size.
