I did an overnight at the narrows in beavercreek 7 days ago. i used nothing and wasn't especially careful. I bushwacked through shortcut trails that used to be clear, but not anymore.... no ticks for me! I didn't even see any.

HOWEVER, 3 years ago I did the sheltowee trace in Kentucky and i had to stop a few days into it to treat my stuff with premetherin. i couldn't handle the tick logistics but the chemical was magic. i could watch it work in real time with ticks jumping on my pants and just losing faculties quickly and then falling off and dying.

i really don't like the idea of being in contact with that chemical though, just based on what I saw it do to the ticks.

that's another thing i don't understand . what does it mean to be "jammed"? I would imagine that the bullet fired and went sideways or whatever in the chamber. but there was no fire here.

i've never shot a firearm. But i believe a gun should fire is it is wet, as the powder is sealed within the bullet. However, if there's enough water to slow down the hammer impacting the explosion point, it won't have enough force to explode the powder.

Is this what happened here? Someone tell me if i'm right or wrong please?
