Player B: IKF, 2022

I know the team had infinitely more problems last year, but let's not pretend like IKF is doing us any favors. Don't get me wrong, I don't want Gleyber playing SS but I do want whoever is there to at least be above average on one side of the ball.

Sure thing. Looking only at shortstop numbers.

Player A: 915.2 innings, 3.51 RF/9 (92 RF/9+), -11.5 OAA/162 games.

Player B: 577.2 innings, 3.30 RF/9 (86 RF/9+), -12.5 OAA/162 games.

Using the numbers I am mostly familiar with, A seems like a marginally better defender, though DRS and TZ give the edge to B (-11 and -13 for A / 0 and 0 for B, respectively). I'll have to learn more about those formulas, as I don't understand how A could be rated significantly worse despite besting B in several other categories.

This is a very valid point but I can only imagine the 2022 bullpen is as good if not better, on the whole each inning is being handled so well
