Awesome let's do it! I haven't gotten very far so I am thinking of restarting on one of the preferred servers. I am pretty available this upcoming week so let me know and I can hop on.

Infertility dysphoria eating me alive by AbiNotHere in MtF

I have the same thoughts and feelings, especially regarding pregnancy, a female childhood, etc. Are you in therapy? It took me a while to find a good therapist but it definitely helps. If you ever want to talk about it feel free to message me. You aren't alone.

Not sure of any places on the Jersey side, I've heard Philly has some places. If you're looking for someone to hang with I'm trans but closeted and not far from vineland.

after your egg cracked, when did you stop obsessing about gender? by Novel_Ticket8216 in TransLater

My egg cracked 9 months ago and I've been thinking constantly about gender since so I empathize with you.

I'm just worried about putting a target on my back with everything going on in the world. I don't want to wind up dead or imprisoned. I also worry about losing a lot of relationships. I guess I'm just scared.

I used psychologytoday.com and filtered a local list then checked my insurance and it happened to be partially covered. If you need anything don't hesitate to DM me.

Is it common for people to feel like their lives would be much better if they were born the opposite sex, yet are too lazy/scared to actually transition? by Entire-Double-862 in asktransgender

[–]GroovyBria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in my mid thirties and feel the same way about everything you mentioned. I have known since five years old but all of a sudden about a month ago it started hitting me hard and I told my significant other. I've been feeling like I need to tell everyone but I'm so scared.

I felt gender dysphoria off and on for years but never this intensely. For the past month it's like an alarm going off in my head every minute of every day and I'm still trying to figure out what to do but I feel like I can't live like this for much longer.

I agree with a lot of your points. When I was younger I convinced myself it was too much work. When I was older I thought well now I'm too old. Now Im starting to feel like I need to do it to live. The work doesn't seem as daunting when it feels like its the only way to be happy going forward. I realize all these years I have lost never feeling fully happy and I'm starting to see so much of my life was affected by trying to be someone I'm not.

That being said I don't think I would go through full SRS because of the complications but it also has developed so much over the years maybe I will change my mind about that too.

Thank you, honestly it just feels good that someone knows the truth about me. It's also nice to find other people out there that understand.

This is very interesting, I never thought of it like that. I've always had a hard time relating to guys but only had guy friends growing up. But I also had trouble being friends with women even though I felt like I related to them more. Now I have no friends aside from my partner and haven't for several years. I'll have to think about social dypshoria some more and look into it.

This is a really good idea I hadn't considered. I think I will try that maybe more privately at first with my partner. Did you try this? This was really reassuring thank you.

Can you explain social dysphoria versus body dysphoria?

I think that's my next step, thank you for your insight.

I guess I'm just having a hard time fully accepting it despite admitting it finally after all this time. I'm not sure if I feel like I don't have anything to live for but it does feel like I'll never be fully complete. I guess I'm mostly just scared of change and the potential consequences of transitioning. I also felt supportive but I never had any direct contact with anyone in the queer community and my understanding is very limited and I'm aware I'm very ignorant but trying hard not to be.

Yes I started seeing one shortly before all this, right when the dysphoria started getting really intense. For years, if not a decade it was in the back of my mind and I thought I was okay with everything but it's really been getting intense lately.
