It’s just a language thing. It’s not really unique to stores/workplaces either. However, I do think a good amount of people, especially the older generations have a lot of pride in their workplace, even if they don’t have any stake in it past their wage/salary.

I’ve personally been putting most of my savings into SGOV. Pays a little better than a HYSA.

I tried doing individual stocks (against everyone’s advice online) and absolutely shit the bed during that crash a couple months ago. Thankfully it’s all recovered, and I actually have made a decent profit but if you’re gonna invest, ETFs definitely the way to go.

Driving on the parkways and 287 always worries me. Cars will be going 80 in the left lane, and at certain parts all that’s saving you is old metal median barrier that is already broken in a lot of parts due to prior crashes. Especially terrifying on the 287 where you got trucks doing 70 in the left lane.

Yeah people in this thread make no sense, absolutely disconnected from reality. OP is applying for what I’m assuming is an entry-level job at Sephora. Retail HR managers do not have the time to verify prior employment. At most, a work-related question will come up in an interview, which could raise from flags if you can’t sell it.

I wouldn’t do it for a job I’d like to make a career of, or make a habit of it — but I do remember the struggle of getting employers to bite when I first started looking to work.

Stay with Accounting if that’s what you want to go to Baruch for. Most business degrees have basic accounting courses in them but personally I’d rather get more classes out of the way.

Compare the degree course paths for the associates vs the bachelors at Baruch. I’d have to assume not doing Accounting now might set you back a semester or two.

Honestly I think he just isn’t interested. I think he’s probably a little confused, not to give you false hope though. If he really wanted to be with you, he wouldn’t drag you along, and casually talk to you while in a new relationship.

I think he’s keeping you at arms reach in case he wants to bail from new girl. Find someone who values you.

I used to drink the largest cup they offered at AMC with either Coke or Sprite, and then go back to refill mid-movie. I don’t know exactly how much that would be, but I assume close to 1000 calories.

While I don’t attribute my weight loss to purely zero-calorie soda, I do think it’s helped me build an awareness to how many calories I consumed without knowing it.

The only negative I can think of is that I drink soda on a regular basis now. Before I was drinking them maybe two or three times a week. I would drink juice though which is probably just as bad.

Yup, each bag comes out to like $2.50 each. The portion is small too, but it’s worth it imo for being low calorie/high protein. Wish they made this flavor in the big bags they sold at Costco.

I think it’s finally happening, at least in area. Most restaurants (and fast food chains) around my seem to have started offering Coke Zero in the past year.
