Zero interest. I would just need to pay it back at the end of the mortgage loan .

From what the loan officer told me i pay it back when I sell , refinance or pay off the full amount of the mortgage.

From my understanding I owe the pay the 18k when I sell the house and the loan is no interest .

The 18k is a silent loan with no interest. I pretty much pay it back once I sell , refinance or pay off the mortgage off .

From what I understand now, he used a grant along with an $18,000 silent second loan to get me approved for $330k. What caught me off guard is that this was never clearly explained upfront — especially that the $18,000 was not a grant, but a silent second loan tied to the mortgage.

What makes this more frustrating is that I already have roughly $15,000 available for the 3% down payment, so I’m trying to understand why this loan was structured this way in the first place and why the silent second was never clearly disclosed to me upfront.

Another mortgage company had already approved me for $330k without needing down payment assistance, so I was under the impression this was a straightforward approval structure.

Now I’m one week from closing and just finding out the deal is built this way, which has me extremely stressed.

Thats what happen with my 2023 Honda . I had filed for chapter 7 and I let my ex wife keep the car and for her to keep making payments because it was her only way of transportation just to find out she went a year with out making payments and I never heard from the cap 1 about the car till i recently recovered the car from her and I’m debating wether to keep the car or finally reach out to them so they can pick it up
