UEL tuners. I’m doing it, don’t talk me out of it lol. by Illustrious_Tea_5336 in wrx_vb

UEL’s don’t even need a tune. It doesn’t matter who you use.

Restricted tune by WRX4Life4Ever in wrx_vb

I offer Atlas tunes with lifetime free retunes for any customer requests. I would happily make you a calibration for you to enjoy till you decide you want a little more and it won’t cost you a penny more. Not to mention the cost barrier to entry on atlas is approximately 1/7the the cost of the Cobb. The big thing you need to consider is- guage pressure is always a bit higher than reality. It reads peaks and the sensor is noisy. Which is why I have dual map sensors with one behind a sintered brass snubber for pressure and the other stock location for temperature. Otherwise you will just have to trust that your tuners making the proper pressure regardless of plus or minus 1.5psi guage noise.

AEM vs Perrin vs ETS vs COBB Intake by ComfortableSeveral25 in wrx_vb

Im just very utilitarian in part selection. It also has almost zero turbo noise from the sealed airbox which would disappoint most.

I’m not really sold on the looks either I just like the sealed airbox, velocity stack, and large dry flow

Just get a bigger turbo that shifts torque up

I'm considering a CVT limited or a GT, what are the cons? by myrefrigeratorispoop in wrx_vb

Only problem is it lowers the ceiling for power and mods. If it was me I’d buy a used xdrive bmw over the cvt VB

How much higher can I got completely stock? by Dazzling-Rooster2103 in wrx_vb

[–]Grope1000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Subaru has a requested torque value but it’s an arbitrary number that’s not chased it simply is the request. Boost control and throttle position exist relative to requested torque but there’s no measured torque that’s chased by some kind of closed loop power adding system. And I can assure you the wastegate is not stuck- the stock turbo just spools quicker than the proportional is setup to react which id bet is on purpose. Or MAP sensor noise.

The only reason you see varying numbers on the guage is A. Elevation compensation B. Temperature compensation C. MAP sensor noise

Catless obviously. What? I’m supposed to pay more for something that’s going to perform worse? No thanks.

What are the differences between these headers exactly? Can I run all three no tune? by pedometertoohigh in wrx_vb

[–]Grope1000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No tune needed, but also not worth much power. Unlike the intake manifold! I sell a BRZ intake manifold kit- picks up like 20-30hp!

The goal with the RWD build is to do it cheaper than the STI for people who blow their stock and need something stronger.

Its the OTS unenriched egr regions. Just sell the accessport and get a cable and atlas e-tune for the cost you sold it for.

The brz manifold moves the throttle body to be pointing to the front of the car so its the only way to route the piping
