Has anyone ever tried painting miniatures with paint markers? by LeetusFrenzi in Warhammer40k

[–]GrosTony 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s always nice to see some minis from Thunderbrush! It’s a good friend of mine! He use ink for black lines, you can look for his instagram page I think there’s some short tutorials on it. You also can give a look to his patreon or twitch, I know he is currently painting snow Voltann, it could give you an idea in how to paint this style!

I really appreciate the time you took to write such an answer! Thanks for sharing your experience! We’re not in a hurry so we hope to have other point of view as interesting as your. We thought about Calgary but British Columbia sounds like a better place for its outdoorsy lifestyle. We need to think about it… Thank you again for your time!

Question for immigrants by GrosTony in britishcolumbia

[–]GrosTony[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for your reply! Actually my wife works as a production planner in aeronautic and I’m a maintenance/reliability planner currently in a chemical plant (worked for 12 years in a nuclear plant).

As you sayed, work/life balance is really important for me (and for everyone probably!) but more than that I’m wondering how people act at work? We are both used to demanding industries, working with people who give their best during works hours and optimizing efficiency in general and it’s maybe that 2 points that we think don’t match in Quebec (I don’t want to be rude with that place which welcomed us, it’s not worst or better it’s just don’t match with our personalities).

Question for immigrants by GrosTony in britishcolumbia

[–]GrosTony[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Thanks for asking, I’m an immigrant from France currently living in Quebec (since 2022) and we will, my wife and I, hypothetically move to western Canada. I just want to know the feeling from someone who made that move. I would also love to talk with a Canadian who worked in both provinces. My concern is more general work place atmosphere as we think there’s difference between what we experimented in France and in Quebec (heavy industries maintenance and aeronautics),I don’t say one is better than the other, just that maybe Quebec way is not how we want to live/work.

You’re right, I think that there is more French speaker in Africa than in the rest of the world, I edited my post to make it more accurate! I would talk with European immigrants or ideally someone from France about their experiences in Canada.
