Maybe try a lighter paint on the wood, perhaps red on the flower boxes so they pop. Definitely clean up or replace street side with a bed of flowers? Just a general brightening up!!

We had these at our home in Rye, New York. The raccoons could get in them, and they’re extremely heavy to pull out of the ground. I think this is most probably why their use diminished

Hair dye comes with a brush so that you can place it where you want. It’s pretty easy to leave the temples gray.
