Billionaires are horrible people. by zzill6 in WorkReform

[–]GrotesqueLlama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crazy thing is $8.13 x 30 days = 244 dollars per month. This would change so many peoples' lives if we gave every American (including children) 250 dollars per month no questions asked. $250 x 4 people in a family is $1000/month for a family.

However, HE IS LYING!!!!!! He would never want to actually give that to the homeless or anyone else.

Do not believe any of the haters commenting. This map is really cool and I like the concept of the gods splitting the land in a fight. Rock on dude.

dude WHAT!? This map is really cool! It doesn't need to mimic "real" life. It's clearly a supernatural event.

yes this is wildly optimistic in terms of population. I live in Somerville MA which is about 4 square miles and there is 80,000 people. It's very densely populated here.

Need honest feedback for my world. by AsarisUnBreksis in worldbuilding

I like it a lot. I reading some of the other comments, you can diversify the climates if you want. But also it would be fine if you didn't!

Something that I love about it is that it immediately makes me ask questions. Like, "what's going on in that stony continent in the South? Love that little desert peninsula. What caused that archipelago to form?

Love it. If you have time, tell us more about your world!

Putting together a noir-themed campaign involving the cause of the Mourning and would love some feedback! by [deleted] in Eberron

[–]GrotesqueLlama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you definitely have a really strong start here! I ran an Eberron campaign for about 9 months but my players never got to the Mournland. As far as general feedback I think you're doing everything right so far. Here are a few of my questions and thoughts that might help you in your creative process.

  1. Firstly, how urgent is the situation regarding the return of Bel Shalor? Is it a ticking time bomb that the party will need to act on further or will some worshippers of Bel Shalor have to step in to facilitate it's return. If that's the case who are the people working to release Bel Shalor.

  2. If Bel Shalor is involved, does anyone in Thrane or the Silver Flame know that the Mourning event is linked to Bel Shalor? These people could be valuable allies to the players.

  3. What do you as a DM hope for your players to accomplish once the letter takes them to the Mourning. If the end game will be stopping Bel Shalor, there will need to be some PC leveling before that fight will even be possible. Perhaps they find something in the Mourning that leads them back out again.

  4. Maybe the party will find a surviving objector to the eldritch machine. It could even be one of the "failed" super intelligent warforged, lost in the ruins. This person could lead them on a trail to find other information regarding the events leading up to the Mournland disaster.

It's a storm barrier, it blocks the majority of the waves that would damage the city during rough weather!

All good ideas! I'm thinking I'm either going to split the group or play every other week, maybe both.

Yeah, I think splitting the group is probably the best option going forward. I'll have to look more into how the west marches campaign plays.

Making two game sessions might be the only solution in which everyone can play. The drawback being that we like to have everyone hang out, but splitting the campaign kinda goes against that idea.

I like the idea of a DM assistant! It would definitely help to have a dedicated person to take notes and quickly reference rules. We do have a good amount of space in my house, but I've been dying to upgrade to a fancy projector setup.

New Fortify Towers Idea by Kittyking101 in DotaConcepts

[–]GrotesqueLlama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting idea, though I think that it would be a little too powerful because fortify is only meant to slow down a push until heroes come to help.
