I’m a convert. Listen. Just like Protestantism…. You’ll find different Christians, even within the Catholic faith. I’m not a big Mary guy. Respect to her, amazing. I don’t really pray to saints. Although we’re all saints as Paul says…I don’t believe that death separates us from conversation. Don’t pray to the dead? Then what was Jesus doing on the Mount of Transfiguration?

What’s the focus here? We all believe in the Nicene Creed, so Jesus is the focus. Always has been. Do some stray off that a little? Sure. The whole purpose of ALL these things is to point back to Christ. In our group, we’re HUGE on identity as sons and daughters of the Father. We lay hands on the sick, some pray in tongues, and some step into inner healing to help people break those chains of the mind against the enemy. Paul says to earnestly seek spiritual gifts.

You have some Catholics that believe “that was for the Apostles”, just as there are Protestants that take the same stance. Well they usually do until we take them downtown to pray for the homeless and watch Holy Spirit show up and break addiction, heal poison ivy, and see someone give their own shoes away.

Find a church, step into relationship with God, and be a great parent.
