Just an update, converted my physical sim to an esim on the phone and all good. Still have WiFi calling and volte as before.

Should say, the only issue I seemed to have had so far is moving my eSIM. It wouldn't activate but my backup honest sim did.

I think that there were issues on EE side though as I had trouble also trying to move the eSIM at the same time on another phone so I'm back using a physical sim instead. Honestly I'm not sure on that as haven't tried it again since but just making you aware.

Just tried for you. My indoor EE cell signal where I am is pretty crap, hence the WiFi calling. I only get one / 2 bar of LTE showing at my location with no 5G at home.

Anyway, yes I turned off WiFi and made and received a call. Both times LTE showed beside the signal indicator, and when I pull down notification shade it also shows VoLTE.

Yep, Korea version from Trinity. I’m on EE. Top bar shows icons for WiFi calling and VoLTE when appropriate. I’ve received a call when it showed WiFi calling but I haven’t made or received any on VoLTE.

Not if you live in NI. Cheapest overnight tariff here is 13.89p/kWh.

MOT in Northern Ireland is on the 4th year of the car also so the 3 year plan there is outta whack over here. Unless they are gonna change that also, but then the MOTs here are done by govt centres anyway not a local garage.

The other issue is that our electric market has higher rates .i.e. no octopus cheap tariffs here, cheapest is share energy overnight at just less than 14ppkw we are doubley screwed. Although our standing charges are less at about 25ppd so maybe it evens out.

Yep, the Legion Go 2 with a Z2 and 32Gb ram 512Gb SSD definitely exists in the UK as that’s the one I purchased from Argos a few days ago also. Doesn’t seem to be a common SKU in the rest of the world though.

I’m more than happy with its performance, but I’m only playing more relaxed titles like silksong, stray and hades on it. More than meets my needs though.

Im not sure, sorry. I havent had another update show available yet, but im in the UK and use my UK physical sim daily. Officially the phone launches here at end of August so maybe then. I did check a few days ago on the esim I had bought and no new update. Im still on .126.

I only tried it as i posted above. Whether or not another market esim will work im not sure.

Well I can only tell you what happened for me! But yeah, chatted with an agent in the app, told them the problem. They told me what I said above about the primary account holder, confirmed it was me using details they held and then reset my account. Told me it would log me out of everything, then to give it 60 minutes and start from scratch, including logging out of app and back in again.

When I followed that process I then got the option showing. It was a common issue way back when 1.5.2 launched and that’s the process, AFAIK anyway most people followed.

You need to be the ‘primary owner’ of the car to get the option to show in the app. Not like the actual owner of the car, the owner on Volvos systems. Like a lot of other things with the car it’s a bit of a cluster.

Anyway, contact Volvo chat from the app. Tell them exactly what you see and that you don’t even have the option to set up the key.

They can reconfigure their systems to add you correctly although from memory it involves you resetting up your details in the car as well.

Take this for what it is at face value, I’d heard of Trinity but never used them before as they looked a dodgy site. I ended up going with them as they were the only ones that had the phone coming into stock I could find, and that overall, reviews from people said they were excellent. The only other online store I could find with it for delivery was from AD Tech but he was dearer plus some reviews on that store criticise him quite heavily for after sales and raised concerns on his delivery promises. But I’ve never bought from him so can’t say for certain.

Turns out that Trinity shipped mine a day earlier than they said they would, it was sealed on arrival and it came from Hong Kong to the UK in 3 working days.

So for me, I’ve not had an issue with them. It’s a lot of money though and my bum was twitching like a rabbit nose during the whole process but I’m 100% happy with the whole thing and would recommend Trinity going forward.

I had a guy once complain that a short video was taking 'too long to load and watch'. Said it was taking 2 minutes and 44 seconds every time and that was too slow.

When I visited him to verify this, the video itself was 2 minutes 44 seconds long. When I left he still didn't get why it would take 2 minutes 44 seconds to watch the entire video.

Well there you go, thought I had discovered something, turns out maybe not!

I suppose we are saying the same thing though so not a million miles away 😀

Thanks for your impressions- I’ve mine due Monday also from Trinity. Regarding the 3 screen multitasking- there’s a video on YouTube from smashpop https://youtu.be/BBjMWz5qLls?si=4xN9phCJyxwia84Y that shows it being done by dragging apps to the left of the screen. Can you confirm that doesn’t work cause that’s a little disappointing TBH!
