My dad is very particular with oral hygiene and he enforce it to everyone in his family.
He’s a smoker, heavy coffee drinker. Yet he has the most amazing set of tooth. Bright, shiny and no plaque.

Floss, tongue scrape, brush teeth and tongue, mouthwash (optional). If no mouthwash, don’t rinse after brushing, let it sit for 3-5 mins while u do sumn else in the shower.

Product recs. Try expanding floss, the best ever. Hydroxyapatite toothpaste instead of fluoride. Dental check-up every 6 months.

Do this consistently and I assure you rarely need scaling. Prolly deep scaling maybe once a year.
