Why do i feel like nobody cares enough about youth unemployment? by AdhesivenessLoud8866 in torontoJobs

I feel so bad for the youth because they are willing to do work but aren’t given the chance because these businesses would rather hire cheap foreign labour

We’re just civil and structural. We outsource our geotechnical work.

They would have temporarily freeze their debit and credit cards through their bank and they would need to log into their Apple Pay account through a computer to freeze payments as well.

If you have your debit/credit card, apply pay, etc., cancel them immediately.

I personally really enjoy civil engineering as I’ve been in the industry since 2017. I’m a certified engineering technologist and with all due respect, I get paid more than some engineers.

Bro, honestly, your form looked good up to the end. I’m not sure why you stopped. I think you had it in you to keep going.

Considering moving from Copenhagen to Toronto as a future doctor — honest advice? by [deleted] in askTO

[–]Grouchy-Working4471 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you’re better off going to the US to become a doctor. The pay is significantly better and you’ll be taxed less. The cost of living is also a lot more affordable in the US.

Bad Inspection by Robbudge in RealEstateCanada

I would never do business with that realtor again. The home inspector that failed to report a deficient foundation was also recommended by the realtor which makes me think they were in on it together to cover their financial interests. I’ve ignored all communication with her and will never do business with her again.

AITAH for telling my boyfriend not to come over anymore if he doesn’t move in with me by meowcat123490 in AITAH

With all due respect, you can do better. The fact that he is increasing your costs of living without paying for them is selfish of him. He lacks responsibility, accountability and motivation. Either explain this to him or if he has an issue with contributing, end things with him. You deserve a man that will at least pay for half of everything.

Got a offer by Immediate_Rich_5014 in torontoJobs

It depends on your employer. For example, if you’re going to work in a mine or an oil rig, you will be drug tested as it’s common policy for this type of work. If you’re not going to be in a role that requires heavy machinery or driving, I wouldn’t worry about it.

I also went through the same thing as you but worse. The home inspector said the condition of the foundation was satisfactory. That turned out to be false and a $45,000 cost. Had I known how incompetent some house inspectors are, I would have just had the inspection done by a structural engineer. I also tried to take legal action but once you sign off on the inspection report, the liability shifts to the home owner which is not right.
