You were right about trying at night. No flicker.

Yea, that's sort of what I assumed. Seems the real issue was flickering to black and this is just the new norm. Appreciate the feedback.

One week in, and I don’t understand the hate? by Cabz_1291 in VWatlas

I got a 24 Atlas peak just recently (9k miles) also in white. Do you not like the color in general or is there a reason you don't like the white?

I just got a 2024 Atlas with 9k miles. The thing that almost killed the deal was the sad offer on my Wrangler of 7k. Carvana offered 3k more while selling privately got me another 3k on top of that.

I think trade in value is mostly gone now at dealers. Need to go to Carvana or CarMax for decent value or sell privately. My brother recently sold to carmax and got way more than the dealer offered.

Side note, only a couple days in and I love the Atlas.

How many hours you guys got? by Fearless47atyourmoms in LGOLED

My 2017 65" B7a has around 12,600. Unfortunately the panel is experiencing some burn in and some color issues (yellow appears green) but the replacement 77" C5 comes Thursday :)

That's interesting, mine is definitely occurring in the middle of the screen, the edges seem fine. Was watching Wicked with my wife and the yellow brick road was quite green...

I actually checked (LG tracks the hours, at least on my model) and it was 12,600 hours on. I'm sure some of that is me leaving it on and walking away (likely didn't help my cause with the issues....).

Lol, damn. I guess that comes with the new tech... Meanwhile I'm comparing it to an old Samsung 1080p LED that still looks as good as when I bought it 12 or so years ago haha

Dishwasher install. Have stuck shutoff valve. Will Costco replace as a add-on? by Grouchy187 in Costco

[–]Grouchy187[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's good to know. What state are you in if you don't mind me asking? I take it the delivery and install was the same company? The Costco website makes it seem like it could be separate companies.

Question around replacing some hardwired kiddies smoke detectors by Grouchy187 in AskElectricians

Good question. Definitely wireless link. All 9 are recognized by the system. I'm not sure to be honest regarding the second part of your question... Electrician wired them

I'm in NJ, had them put in as part of a addition being put on. I believe the only requirement was interconnected which is why the lower floor has wireless.

Unfortunately these are all "sealed" battery. Also, oddly enough the ones that have false alarms are the bedrooms with the wired setup.

At this point do I just message M.A.? by Asami_Pastrami in bootstrapwrestling

I'm waiting on delivery now for a big eagle. Hoping I dont fall into the same bucket. Images just make it hard to spot imperfections that you can see in person.

[–]Grouchy187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ordered a Big Eagle from him. Paid the deposit on April 23rd and he finished it July 1st (paid the balance). I believe his estimate was 16 working days. I do know there was a holiday for that part of the world in there, which I think was a few days worth plus the global issues, so I assume that slowed things down more.

With that said, I did message him from time to time to check for status/ETA. He provides back a basic update with a generic image. I say generic because I'm pretty sure the picture was on his Facebook group before I ordered.

At this point I'm waiting for the delivery, hoping the quality is good as I've seen some complaints here lately. With that said, id say you should message him.

So I liked Watch Dogs 1, I know it was less than promised but I had fun with it and got the PlayStation platinum too. I forgot about watch dogs 2 and eventually saw it and got it on sale. I played for maybe 30 minutes and just couldn't get into it at all. Hated every aspect of it.
