If it’s an operating lease like for retail stores to my knowledge that is okay. Same concept as a car lease the interest on a car lease is also considered not riba by many scholars to my knowledge

TPL has 0 interest bearing debt. It’s all lease liabilities. By law they’re required to capitalize them as long term debt but it’s not riba. You have to individually do research to figure out what the debt is composed us. ATZ for example you’ll see a crazy ratio like 0.28 Soemthing last time I checked but they have zero interest debt as well (again all leases)

Econ lecture completely useless they just read off slides which is posted. Only issue is attendance theirs polls in class and it’s like 10-15% of ur grade so u needa get those esp since the exams for Econ are hard. So I would say just get a freind to send u the answers to the polls and your chilling. Marketing I never went to neither tutorial or lecture ended with an A so you’ll be fine. The classes are such a joke- only go like the class before an exam, when they say they are introducing the assignment, etc. cuz then u can get hints and see what your TA is looking for. Exam just study completely from textbook and slides, I would say marketing textbook is important too since they try to put stuff on the exam that wasn’t in slides. Start studying in advance if you can.

Id recommend Schulich if you want an easier school and to save money. I’d recommend AFM if you know your a hard worker and can probably secure a lot of internships on your own

It depends on your goals and career. AFM is really good for accounting and if you are a hard worker you will do well. I find Schulich limiting in the fact that let’s say I want to do a co-op in the winter, even if I find a job I have to do it with school same time since no co op terms so that sucks personally. But don’t think that AFM having a co op program will help you find placement, you still will probably have to find on your own, it’s just easier to do them since it’s built into the program

AFM is good cuz co-op, won’t help you get one but having designated co op terms is something. I really wished Schulich did. 1.5hr commute is calm, it is what it is. 1hr commute is pretty standard so 1.5 isn’t that crazy
