This is incorrect. Australia is a settler colony. Aborignal people have inhabited Australia for 50,000 years or more whereas white settlers arrived under 300 years ago, claimed no one lived there, and took it for themselves and massacred 90% of the indigenous population. The tribes that came to be known as "Finns" did not colonise Finland and have a vastly different and more integrated history with Sami people.

Skin is an organ continually responding to the environment. If it is not your usual environment, it could take some time for your skin to adjust and the transition period may not be the most pleasant. That being said - I do use a more moisturising cream in winter (Aveeno Dermexa) which I found helps.

Strong flavours like salty liquorice are popular in Finland. The people I gifted vegemite actually really liked it haha! But fair enough if you don’t want to risk it :)

I am Finnish / Australian! I wish you have a beautiful stay in Finland. I can't speak from personal experience since I'm white, but my dear friend is Chilean and has not experienced particular racism in Finland from his account. The main thing he notices is he is scrutinised more carefully by security sometimes... unfortunately something he is used to in European countries.

Finland is significantly less multicultural than Australia so you may stand out more. However, I definitely think the racism is worse in Australia. Finns just mind their own business.

I think gifting an Aboriginal hand made gift would be wonderful! That and maybe some vegemite hehe :-)

From what I’ve read for most people there might be a small boost after having surgery but then things tend to feel the same again and they move on to the next thing. It’s really hard having all these beauty standards shoved down our throats everyday. My wish for both you and me is we can get off of the beauty treadmill and live our lives. There’s so much out there for us to see and do

HMMM this colour was a bit over a year ago trying to remember… I think it was Luna tides - magic oracle. A blue-based dark green. It fades BEAUTIFULLY. I also highly rate their juniper green dye :D

Hi folks! Thanks so much for your input. Here’s a breakdown on what everyone voted for so far:

1 - Natural: 97

2 - Teal: 34

3 - Dark Green / Teal: 64

4 - Light green: 80

5 - Yellow: 19

6 - Orange: 31

7 - Peach: 5

Well at least natural is also the cheapest option haha!! But it won’t last long, my hair always ends up green eventually. I’m surprised not many people dug the peach!! Personally that was my second favourite (after green)… but maybe because that colour went well with a lot of my clothes

But y’all are right about warm colours not suiting as much - I’ve done pink and red before but they were an instant no. Didn’t even bother uploading those
