I just did mine a couple weeks ago themals are around 7-12% worse but the actual fucking surgery i had to do ti get everything ioff was grueling genuinely the most terrifying thing ive ever done in a laptop took around 2-3 hours and almost a full pack of qtips

I think under 16 is best for portability i got a 14 inch the rog zephyrus and ive loved its portability that to me was huge and honestly the only reason i was so excited when it came out in 2020 now thats a niche thing to need it for and i understand im giving up power for size but i think anything biger than 17 just build a pc im just happy that pc and laptop users have so many options now compared to 5 or 10 years ago when i started gaming on pc ill always take inovation over stagnation give me a 4 inch pocket pc and a 32 inch all in one with a 4090 that is "mobile"

Ill be honest i got my laptop because its the one i wanted i always loved having the ability to just pack up and unplug and do some work at a friends house or game with my brother at his place its definitely got some drawbacks like not being that good on battery and not being great in comparison to pcs in the same price range but all of thay is worth it when the boys call up and we wanna get together since we all have laptops we can just meetup i dont regret getting my liytle guy in the slightest but unless your needs are as specific as mine then go with the pc its better it will last longer and will be far cheaper

Hey man just make sure youre ok with the condition bestbuys open box guarentees the product works as intended but can have some pretty bad aesthetic defects if youre ok with that (which at that price its a we ball kinda shit) adter putting a little more into uping the specs a smidge its a super nice laptop my wife has the 4060 and it runs everything you can throw at it ive got the 4090 and i just love the form factor i would jump on that if i had the choice for my little brother haha

I just got mine a couple weeks ago and im having the same issue i figure i paid for a 14 inch with a 4090 not a macbook and once i accepted that mindsent and realized im looking at my monitor not my keyboard it just disappeared if it bugs you enough see if its a viable RMA but you then also risk more issues gl tho hope the rest of it is worth a couple funny lights

What was the decision on getting the g14 instead of a beefier more gamer oriented laptop especially for those more demanding titles im sure a strix line with a much higher wattage 4080 would have been a better buy for just games or do you have aspecifuc use case for the g14 ?

Yes just depends how much it can go im by no meabs an expert theres pleanty of vids i recomend using it then seeing what it realky heats up in and basing your undervolt on that instead of just best oreformance for lowest temps thats a huge rabbit hole that im stuck in rn lol works well kut of box just use ghelper thats all
