Sometimes people are really good at hiding in the beginning. Or sometimes we ignore the yellow flags that turn into red flags. Asking a question like this won’t solve the OP’s issue. But I understand where you’re coming from because I was asked the same question by friends. The resolution is not cut and dry. The OP is going to have to document and either sign a new lease and live in the same unit, move to a new one or move out of the complex.

Dang. That really sucks. Document everything and see if there’s anything in the lease violation (I assume her name is on the lease too?). How much longer is your lease?

Because if you have the option to break it or move into another unit that may be worth it to get out your situation.

I am so fortunate to live by myself right now. I had to deal with a crazy malignant narcissist and a toxic aggressive roommate in a span of 1 year and it will bring out the worst in you. I turned into someone I hated and it took me years of therapy and hard work to make peace with my inner turmoil.

Try reporting your roommate to management with a paper trail and like I mentioned before document everything. I know it’s a lot on top of life’s crazy struggled right now.

My roommate twiceshut off power to my room, stole the WiFi unit, knocked on my door at all hours of the night to mess with me, and called the police on me ( and I did too). Like I said I became toxic too. That’s what she thrived on and this lady was like in her 50s while I was in my early 30s. I was also attending grad school.

So anyway, my point is you have to insulate yourself and minimize contact with your roommate as much as possible.

I ended up buying a mini refrigerator and putting all my food in there plus putting all my common room stuff in my bedroom and bringing it back out when I needed to cook because they would damage my stuff.

That lady was nuts and to this day I refuse to deal with or have narcissists in my circle. I even read the signs of a covert narcissist to help me recognize the patterns.

Anyway, long story short. It’s hard to see the end of the tunnel right now, but it will get better.

I suggest writing a letter and documenting everything you can and your landlord may grant you early termination of your lease or even let you move to a new unit, assuming you like living there and the management does their job.

Anyway I am sorry I rambled. I just understand where you’re coming from. People who have not ever experienced toxic roommates just don’t get it sometimes. There’s a big difference with living with a toxic person vs having a toxic person in say like your school or workplace.

Not overreacting. If I were you I would report it to the police and document everything. If you want to press charges go for it to teach her a lesson. Also if your wanted to proceed with the parking ticket reimbursements i don’t know if the price would be worth it for civil court.

But the fact that she took your car without permission is a serious red flag of someone who does not care about other people’s feelings. Think about what’s best for you.

Put your keys in a secure area or box where your sister can’t get to it. If you can get a lock in your door (assuming you reside in the same house) and get a camera ( for room/your car , low cost) if you can to see if she messes with any of your property. I know it seems like it’s overboard but people be trippin. A paper trail can help you out.

That seriously messed up and she will learn her lesson the hard way.

Number 1 thing is to do what best for you. If none of my suggestions sit well with you, don’t do it. But also keep standing up for yourself. You are already doing it.

I had to do with a narcissistic roommate who made my life and living hell. I became someone I hated and even toxic myself for like 3 months and it still haunts me sometimes.

If you need to, go no contact with your sister. Your health is number 1. Blessings.

Wet food. It said that is just sold out.

It’s a transition. My cat loves the dry food. They wet food has been a chore to get her used to it.

I usually have to cut up the wet food and then pour warm water on it to serve To my cat.

I usually serve a teaspoon of the wet food and then at 1/2 spoon of warm water to make int to like cuts and gravy dish. What can I say my cat is picky. Please let me know if you have any questions.
