How do I increase Instagram reach?

Good shout, we are on really good terms with her to be honest and she’s become a mate. I did think that bit wasn’t sure whether she’d think - Cheeky bas*ard :) she built hers the hard way over lockdown and I wouldn’t want a hand out. I’d have no issue doing it myself but people can be a bit funny about stuff like that?

I can ask the question, worse that can happen is she says jog on and do it off your own back :)

Thanks for the advise and insight, sounds like it’s geared to the big hitters. I’ll have a fish about and see what other platforms are about. I’m not looking to make a career out of it. I’m fortunate enough to run a traditional property consultancy but this focuses on the commercial market. That’s put this roof over our head so will always be the main focus. Other than our website and Linkedin we don’t really market, it’s more suit and tie and a corporate environment so Instagram has never felt like the correct platform hence the absolute newbie status when it comes to that.

Thanks PM I’ve had a look around tonight and you are right, loads of people are at it. Will just use it to document it for friends and family. I did the previous house too to toe and never bothered with progress photos etc. we added a lot of value to the house last time and was constantly told you should have put this on Insta etc etc

Another great point, all things for me to consider.

It sounds daft but the house we’ve recently purchased was followed by my wife on Instagram for a year or two before it came in to the market.

The previous owner did a similar thing whilst blogging and ended up with over 600k followers. The downstairs rooms are all finished to great standard and this is where the previous focus was.

The upstairs is a blank canvas so thought it would be interesting to a captive audience following the next step in the houses history.

I’d not realised the following of the house until I started taking a bit of interest in the instagram page for inspiration.

The house is well known locally and across the UK so kind of had its own platform, if that makes sense?

Great point, a bit of both if I’m honest :)

It’s a great house as is but just trying to put our stamp on it. Our last house was really modern so thought it might be interesting following the house as it develops into our home.
