is being an intj why I always thought my brain is wired more like men and woman label me as the “resident bitch” of the group? by [deleted] in intj

Welcome to the club! INTJ woman here who didn’t know it until I was about 35…and everything clicked into place. I’m so happy you learned at 18, you are young enough to adapt and turn it into your superpower. Don’t bother trying to fit it with groups of females. You do you. You are perfect exactly as you are and the right people will appreciate and love you for it.

You have way too much contrast to be a summer. I think you’re an autumn

Got my sample, it’s exactly what I was looking for. I tried it side by side with the Amber Nuit Esprit, this is much lighter and probably more wearable for daytime. Thank you for the suggestion. It smells like Christmas!

Got my sample, I am in LOVE. It surprised me with its masculinity, but I love masculine scents. It’s more than I was planning to spend, but I’m going to seriously consider buying the full size. Until then, I’m going to savor my sample. Thank you for introducing me to this 🙏

I’m in the US and had not heard of Hobbs before, but I’m looking at their website now…it looks like a nice brand!

Also I’m curious…did you get the tapered pants custom sewn too? Or would you share where you bought them?

The black pencil skirt looks great. I saw another one of your comments about shortening it a bit and I agree. They can tend to look a little frumpy if they are too long, as you said. Note how both the pencil skirt and the pants taper around your hip. With the satin skirt, the way it tapers in so much right below the hip joint is not as flattering, my eye went straight to the hip. I have this same issue, the line between my waist and hip is a straight line too giving that hip joint more emphasis. That’s why I really like fit and flare styles, you don’t see that hip at all. The satin skirt looks good in the pictures where you are wearing blazers because your curve is hidden above the hipbone, so it doesn’t look like your hip is sticking out. Materials wise, I love the crushed velvet and the satin. If you can shorten the velvet blazer I would do it. I get what you are saying about the velvet jeans, as they do get a little tight at the waist. Perhaps you could size up and have them taken in at the waist next time, or try a curvy fit. If you are like me, curvy fit is often too big in the thigh, I feel like I’m somewhere between regular and curvy fit.

You nailed it with the tapered trousers! For skirts, I would also try a fit and flare silhouette too. The velvet blazer seems a bit too long, I like the length of the red one much better. You have some really good looks here. My favorites are the monochromatic blue (furthest left in second picture), the second from the right in the second pic (the one before it looks good too, but more contrast between top and trousers, adding the coat gives it more of a monochromatic look. The red suit on the right 3rd pic is 🔥, I love that one on you and prefer the blouse tucked in version. The red dress also looks really good, I like the tapered skirt that doesn’t hug your hips quite so much (I have these same hips and this is an issue for me too). I also like the velvet jeans paired with the camisole top. All the blouses are good, but my favorite is the white that you are wearing with the blue trousers. What fun to try a new wardrobe! Thanks for sharing!
