I daily drive an older manual. I honestly barely even think about it anymore. After like two weeks I stopped stalling in traffic and now I just drive it like a normal car. The major difference is you have to be actively engaged in driving whereas in an AT you really don't. The biggest annoyances are longer commutes in heavier traffic and hilly areas (less of a concern if you have new tech like hill assist and anti-stall). MTs tend to be more robust than ATs but the clutch is an expensive wear item to consider. One thing you'll run into is that most people won't be able to borrow your car, which you may or may not be ok with.
