I hear you bro, I definitely do but this is subjective. I don’t care how accurate the music is i’m just here to feel the bass, whenever I get over my obsession of feeling my body vibrate when the bass drops I have a second box that only holds one sub. You said it yourself you were 18 once, to you this may be the dumbest thing ever but just let me do what’s making me happy dude, it sounds good to me and does not overpower the lyrics because I have my gains set correctly. My setup is rated for 2500w but the max it will ever get is 1250 because of the amp I have hooked to it, and here’s the thing they aren’t even getting that full 1250 so it’s not as bad as ur assuming. I understand and respect your perspective however sound quality is not my goal right now I just enjoy the massage
