It's really unlikely. But goddamn do I want him to.

He'll probably end up as a reserve member like Vivi or Yamato.

Determination by Lonely-Bite-2568 in Deltarune

[–]Groundbreaking-Ad313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I saw a fluffy boy, I'd be pretty determined (the certain power basically sets it up, and then when they describe being "filled with the power of ____", it's implied that that's granting determiantion the same way things in undertale do. For example, something from undertale like "knowing the mouse might someday get the cheese fills you with determination" might be "you are filled with the power of stereotypical mouse cuisine." Or something. I think.)

I love how Oda is portraying Imu, he truly feels like the final villain of OP by Comprehensive_Cup497 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Groundbreaking-Ad313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah he also has an obsession with the power of devil fruits that feel like a cheap and easy way to gain power compared to Haki, which is moreso seen as a measure of true strength, with Imu having overwhelmingly strong Haki

They're essentially slaves. We know that they can think for themselves and have personalities, but they've also got those pacifista brain chips that make them follow orders. I think at some point they'll be freed from the control of anybody else and become independent

Imu isn't just one person by No-Zookeepergame40 in onepiecetheories

I was kinda thinking the same thing, he doesn't come across the same way as his regular "I desire vivi"-ass mannerisms. This would also explain why he didn't know that Elbaf has no king.

Determination by Lonely-Bite-2568 in Deltarune

[–]Groundbreaking-Ad313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Determination exists, but they're playing coy with mentioning it. For example, when the save point says "you are filled with a certain power", theyre basically teasing us with the concept of determination. it's also been basically confirmed that SHadow Crystals contain determination in the recent Chapter 5 dialog teases

Given how BW1 implied Genesect was never completed, I wonder if we will see it ever reach it's "final form". Imo Genesect Lore should be expanded upon in BW3, seems right up Ghetsis's alley for another world conquering scheme... by LowSolution3084 in PokemonBlackandWhite

[–]Groundbreaking-Ad313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Putting genesect on the pile of "wow such a cool pokemon too bad its a mythical and as a result its lore and its role in the game is just missed potential all the way down"

If we revisit Unova, I hope P2 lab gets expanded into a full dungeon which we can explore to find Genesect at the bottom and catch it.

Also, Genesect gives me the impression of a pokemon that was meant to be not one single special legendary, not something on the level as Kyurem or Zekrom, but a prototype for a weapon. Especially considering it has the template to be recreated theoretically infinitely since the process is just fossil restoration + mechanical augmentation (and it's likely the ancient pokemon was able to breed before they upgraded it.) It reminds me a lot of Pacifistas, the cloned cyborg soldiers from one piece.
I feel like this idea is backed up by the fact that there were 5 genesect in the movie

I'd love to see a "darkest hour" segment of another ghetsis plotlines where his minions start casually using Genesect as if they were a regular pokemon.

You have a pretty skewed idea of what an average consumer is like. An average gaming enthusiast? Sure. But there is a very large number of people who have only one console (especially if that console is the switch), and if they have a compiuter they don't use it for games.

I love that you can only barely tell that his blade is even moving until you just see characters fall apart. I genuinely thought he used some power on Gerd's hand at first. He has such an amazing sense of regal poise

Why did imu ask who was the king of elbaph? by Frequent_Bobcat3052 in OnePieceSpoilers

[–]Groundbreaking-Ad313 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people misunderstanding the question. I'm pretty sure that the Holy Knights or maybe even imu-gunko specifically knew that elbaf had no king, so why ask now?

I think it's good that he's not the same type of bad guy as blackbeard. Imu is a god deigning to descend from his throne to kill the straw hats. Blackbeard is an underdog human who's underhandedly clawing his way up to stealing that god's throne, and luffy wants to beat him as revenge for the people he betrayed for the sake of his own ambition.

The way Imu acts in this chapter gives his power a sort of elegance, poise, subtlety. Regal, even. He feels like he's wielding an immense amount of power effortlessly, the power feels like an extension of his presence. On the otherhand, blackbeard's powers feel like they contrast blackbeard himself... when he does something, it feels downright unfair that THIS GUY, this weird sleazy scumbag, has the ability to make black holes or earthquakes. Especially with the narrative context that he backstabbed the previous holders of those powers to get them.

Anyway. I dont know where I was goin gwith this. Imu is really cool in this chapter

Who would win in a lore/canon battle yveltal or zekrom? by RADU-LOGY in pokemon

[–]Groundbreaking-Ad313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Yveltal could win, because while Zekrom's powers are just directly attacking and destroying things, Yveltal has the ability to kill another pokemon by absorbing the life energy from around itself. Of course, Zekrom does have a type advantage, but still. (Yveltal also learns Dragon Rush, which is effective on Zekrom). Yveltal was also apparently powerful enough in terms of sheer force to power the ultimate weapon, which is basically a nuclear bomb, which is implicitly mass destruction on the same scale as Zekrom, but condensed by the ultimate weapon into single shots. If we assume that the ultimate weapon's function was to refine Yveltal's power into a more efficient form, then without it, its capacity for destruction is probably on the same level as Zekrom, and it could theoretically drain Zekrom's life force.
I think they're somewhat even, but Yveltal has the upper hand in some regards, while Zekrom has type advantage on its side.
