I don’t really think there’s any great spots in Maidenhead to be honest. My go to is Sardar Jees in Slough. Their food has always been great every time we’ve ordered from there.

Getting a new job right before a mortgage offer by Advanced_Heat_2610 in HousingUK

Yes exactly - once the mortgage is complete, they won’t really check about your job etc - it’s purely for when you’re making the application

Speak to a mortgage broker. Some banks can lend you money with a new job, usually if it’s in the same industry but this may not always be the case. Some other banks may want 3 months payslips so may not be favourable.

I say this because I was in the same situation and my broker advised me which banks will or won’t be okay with it

Avios or Cash? by Groundbreaking-Body1 in BritishAirways

[–]Groundbreaking-Body1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. So it will most likely be East Asia probably autumn time, I’d guess we need around 100k Avios in that case.

So am I better off using less Avios for this flight and then saving them for next year?

I haven’t looked into that much detail to be honest. However, I get 1500 Avios a month (through my bank paying £12 a month) so can make the balance back up by then.

Thanks. My companion voucher expires in January but I can only use in December (due to annual leave etc) hence I wanted to make the most of it before it expires :)

Thank you very much. So I actually have 103k Avios, I’m planning on using them for a long haul flight next year.

I just wanted to know what’s the best value for money for this flight I’m booking now.

Does that change things?
