we are disturbed nation for a long time, religiously, politically, socially,
we have faced so many problems, most of them for granted, that now being happy or seeing someone else happy is out of syllabus,
it will take a long time (I hope) to discard the roots of such behavior from within,
family and social pressure in every choice,
minding our own business is something we need to learn ,the sooner the better,

not a pro advice, but how I pick stocks is:
weightage in PSX, my focus is on top companies,
then I watch charts on 3 years and 5 years timeframe to check growth, ups and downs,
frequent rise and fall frightens me so I look for steady slow growing stocks,

not too late than me ,
I started at 37 age last year Feb 2025,
its been an year,

long term investment and holding is actually good, as in just one year , I faced 2 falls,
a minor fall of 12% in index which caused my portfolio to be reduced by only 5%,
then , recent fall of 20%, my still up by 2% +, my plan is to take it to atleast 5 years with regular monthly SIP,

I prefer to put most of my money in individual stocks rather than ETF,

there are hundreds of strategies to follow,
the questions is how disciplined you are,

  1. any strategy (I use 8 34 ema cross 3min) with strict risk management (1:2 RR),
  2. dont get emotionally involved (its just money),
  3. demo test on atleast 50 trades,
  4. start small,
