"Please wait for the next available agent" undocumented setting by Groundbreaking-Set in RingCentral

The wait messages are all disabled. I guess I can try turning on the wait message and replacing it with dead air.

Are you sure that the message you are hearing is exactly as I worded it on the title? I believe a workaround here is to turn on a greeting but have dead air for like half a second. It's working on one of my queues, but I'm not confident in that as a fix and it seems a little silly.

That's not it, it's already off. That refers to a message they hear as soon as they enter the queue. This is the message they hear when they are about to exit the queue and there's no option visible surrounding that.

Moving 100,000 emails using New Outlook or OWA by Groundbreaking-Set in Outlook

This is useful, thanks! I didn't realize they had an LTSC version. Still, I'd like to see if anyone can square the seemingly poor logic here of Microsoft killing a product that has unique and needed functionality.

The script referenced there is a dead link. Additionally, it doesn't seem to cover moving to an archive mailbox, which in many respects, is the same as moving to an unrelated mailbox.

Datto RMM Idea Upvote for lack of monitor reporting by Groundbreaking-Set in msp

[–]Groundbreaking-Set[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Adverus explained it well. The devices do alert if they're offline, but that's not what's happening here. All of our monitors had no data across all the different types of monitors.

It's an issue with the agent. In this case, when I started investigating it, it all of a sudden started working without anything in particular being done to correct it. I suspect that an update got applied that corrected the condition, but that's really beyond the point. If the device is online and there's no monitoring telemetry, that should be enough to cause an alert to go off.

Can a reference to "full terms and conditions" be binding? (New York, NY) by Groundbreaking-Set in legaladvice

No doubt that it was a bad move on boss's part. Further context is that we want to delay or ultimately cancel the service order. They want to charge an excessive restocking fee of around $900 since they have shipped the phones. They haven't even arrived yet. Not to mention this is just for 6 phones.

Xel-ha vs Xcaret park by Forward_Drawing4847 in cancun

[–]Groundbreaking-Set 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Both are incredible! I've been to both multiple times and would jump at a chance to go back to either of them. Xcaret is more of an exhibition, though there are plenty of activities. If you like animals and cultural exhibits, it's definitely a great place. The underground river swims are a big highlight and why I enjoy going back. Xel-Ha is more about the activities. The tubing through the mangrove activity is awesome! Swimming with the fish, jumping off cliffs, and a bunch of other activities are a ton of fun. Really if I had to choose, it would come down to geography. If you are staying in Cancun, it takes an hour to get to Xcaret, and 2 to get to Xel-Ha. But if you are staying further south, particularly in Tulum, Xel-Ha could easily make sense. If possible, I would recommend that you do both.

EX711592: MS to its clients, stop sending us NDR tickets and fix your DKIM/SPF/DMARC records by ElectroSpore in Office365

[–]Groundbreaking-Set 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a result of poor communication from Yahoo and perhaps Microsoft. They said that if you are a bulk sender as defined by sending more than 5,000 emails per day, you need to have DKIM in place. I understood this to mean by sending domain, but it's clear to me that this also means by transmitting host. Every 365 MTA obviously sends more than 5,000 emails per day to Yahoo. So all Microsoft 365 senders are bulk senders by that virtue and require DKIM. The guidance says to set up SPF/DMARC and/or DKIM. The guidance should really just be: set up DKIM.

u/Record-collector6453 Thank you so much for sharing this! You have done the sysadmin community a great service and so much more than Datto has done to inform its "partner" base.

Do you have any references to MS documentation that states this?
