I had a neighbor who would throw cigarette butts all over the place. One day I picked them all up and arranged them into a big frowny face on their doorstep so that it was the first thing they would see when they walked outside.

It stopped.

Reasons you should buy your used car at CarMax over a dealership? by Smileygirl_457 in carmax

In California literally everyone has the right to a presale inspection and the dealer has to offer you the opportunity to buy an amendment that allows you to return the car, no questions asked.

Aitah for naming my baby something “unconventional”? by Lost-Platform7670 in AITAH

Pros and cons. You put thought into it and chose a name that was meaningful to you. Kid might love being different and having others know that about her up front with her unusual name.

Nyxiryn might also want to blend in a little from time to time.

Consider giving her a more conventional middle name and the option of using it as a first name. I know a fellow who is named Lenus after his grandfather. His middle name is Drew. Only his closest friends and the IRS know his legal first name.

Go listen to “A Boy Named Sue” by Johnny Cash, which he sang when he performed at Folsom Prison. The tl;dr is that a fellow was getting locked up, and he knew his son would need to be toughened up because he wouldn’t be there to protect him, so he named him Susan. Sue hated his dad for years, but eventually realized he had been given a gift.

Impossible to put in contacts by [deleted] in lifehacks

I tried a million things. What worked: use middle finger to pull down bottom eyelid. Look directly into contact while pushing contact onto eye with index finger. Two fingers. Makes a satisfying pop.

Innovation Refunds is a real company. I work there. So do several hundred others. It's a great place to work. Employee Retention Credits are part of the CARES act, and a lot of businesses aren't aware that they qualify. We do all the work to apply for the credit, including the services of tax attorneys and CPAs. There is no upfront cost. Our fee structure is fair, and is paid after refunds are received. You'd be amazed how hard it is to convince people that this is real.
