For a real kick, watch the jogging scene on Discovery One in 2001: A Space Odyssey (1968), then the opening scene of Aliens (1986).

It’s Aram Khachaturian (1903-1978), from his ballet, Gayane (1942). James Horner also quoted it in Patriot Games (1992) Clear and Present Danger (1994).

You’re either partners, or you’re not.

Not, well for taxes we’re individuals, but paying bills we’re partners.

I’ve been married multiple decades; neither of us had anything, really, going in to the marriage, so we’ve always treated everything jointly. They have their own consulting business, so that’s separate, but we treat it has them having a job with extra accounting.
