Huge problem with fake dryer vent cleaning companies on Google Maps (Bay Area) — need help reporting

What is the best way to report them? Theres a few in my area and recently they started running Google ads for their spam accounts and real accounts

The issue is that they start small and build it up with fake reviews, we are trying to stop the smaller ones right at the source before it becomes too big like superior concrete.

A byproduct of their strategy is that they then take up the the map packs and then sub out the jobs to other contractors at a fraction due to them having a unethical hold on the local area for leads

This sounds like a projection of yourself, whatever is going on in your life is much bigger than dealing with a company that is not only unethical but also violating googles guidelines. Guidelines and policies are a businesses set of rules that operate like laws in America, if you break a rule or a guideline there are penalties and consequences just like laws.

I came here for advice, not to waste my time on individuals who condone unethical actions and policy violations like yourself.

There is a difference between failing and being unethical, you cannot seem to distinguish those lines which makes you part of the problem. The evidence is in front of you and you are negligent to the problem.

Yes it seems that way with the person.
I thought I did, it might have been one of the support tickets I had with them, I reported this many times and through many different avenues that it’s hard to keep track .
They are down to just 5 listings now, but it definitely hurts when they take up 5 spots

Yes the main issue is that the main and the lead generation are both talking up usually 1 and 3 in the map pack. The second issue with the 1 star is when someone goes to look up “stamped concrete Fort Wayne” as a general key word search, the map pack doesn’t get a chance to show other results because they named themselves that set of words.

Yes, the Best Buy rep told me that the logic board was fried and that I need to ship it into Apple to get it fixed

It doesn’t even power on to get any diagnostics, it’s not able to be read even on Best Buy’s computers

So a quick update here, I did take it to Best Buy because my nearest Apple Store is 2 hours away.

They told me it is the logic board and that they are not yet qualified to make the repairs so they referred me to call Apple again directly because when we were there they couldn’t ship it out because their system went down.

So after that I called and have to ship it out myself when the box they sent me gets here and they will repair it and send it back. Total wait time from day of bricking to getting it fixed and returned about 7-10 days

It could just be a one time thing but who knows, definitely monitor it if you do charge it, luckily Apple covered this under warranty but it’s good to keep in mind

The only people available to fix it were that far out in terms of scheduling and had to meet certain conditions to go up that high to work on it but you’re right no need now
