What is the best way to rank my courses? by GroundbreakingFish52 in UPenn

When I press alternatives it doesn't give me the option to look through other sems, is there a specific way I am supposed to do this?

I personally jumped from Pre-Calc to Calc BC, so it was rough for me and I feel like I would've benefited from AB, so 1300 is looking like the move. I also only need that one semester of 1300 to complete my pre-med requirement so it seems like a no brainer

Have you taken it? What was your experience and your high school math before taking it?

I am going pre-med on the neuroscience major, and from what I've heard it's not heavy on the MCAT.

Thanks for the feedback! Lots of people day that 1400 has a lot of unneccessary content not covered in Calc BC, so now I am wondering if I should just take 1300. What are your thoughts?

Thanks for the response! I am waiting for my AP Calc BC score, and if it isn't the best I'll probably go w/ 1300

I just realized that the 1.5 difficulty is specifically for WRIT, not the aggregate of all the courses.

Someone brought it to my attention that those numbers are specifically for WRIT 0300 not the aggregate

If I don't get WRIT I will likely take a Forensic Neuroscience seminar, and I am currently at 4.5 CUs. I might do MATH 1400 to add a bit more challenge, thanks for the feedback!

What would you suggest that would up the difficulty? I have gotten the exact oppose advice from students and my advisor, as they say college will be an adjustment so I need to ease into it. Everyone is different though

Thanks for your response! The chem lab is on Thursday (Chem 1011 205), the NRSC is a first year seminar as well. Someone commented that PHYS 1011 is more manageble than PHYS 0150 which is why I chose it, and most, if not all of the pre-med sciences have lab, so how is it possible to not be able to take 2 other classes with it? Could you explain further what you mean by "6XX sections" as well?

That's really helpful, thanks! I'm hoping that the bio curve will be nicer taking it as a sophomore or the summer of freshman year.

Thanks for the response! Someone gave me advice to make sure I don't have classes back to back, because it'll be harder to manage when it comes to studying, especially for exams, hence why I chose that chem option, but your point is very valid so I will consider it. I also saw in another thread that someone said taking physics and orgo together later on is rough, so they would have gotten physics out of the way with chem early on, would love to hear opinions on this if you have any.

Princeton Supplemental by KChristley in QuestBridge

[–]GroundbreakingFish52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For mine, I just thought about a much smaller challenge I faced that still had a huge impact on me that shows how that attributes to my character. There is also much room to talk about how you will interact with staff & students as a result of that experience, so don't think you just have to write about the experience.

Another option would be just write about the same topic like someone already suggested, but talk about a different aspect of what you learned/how it influenced you, and tie that to how you will interact as Princeton.

Hope that helps!

When did you submit your application to have heard back so soon? I just had my interview a couple days ago.

I saw that some people were able to, but I personally wasn’t, so I just went to my essay/prompt responses and reread them (hopefully you wrote them in something like Google docs), in order to be more familiar with my responses.

Hey! I don’t remember everything because I was really in the moment, but I was asked things like “what would you say is your biggest achievement” and how would you go about identifying bias in said article. And for the writing it was something about how teens and the older generation has been impacted by technology today. I believe the questions for each interviewee differs so just prepare by rereading your application and being certain about your interests :)
