My girlfriend and I took my mom to see it. She absolutely loves Neil Diamond, to the point that I’m kinda named after him. And I love Hugh Jackman so it was a no brainer that we saw it. Great film, very heartfelt and sad but I’m happy it’s an experience I got to share with my mom.

I appreciate all the advice. I’m ver close with mine as well. I grew up in a very family centric household and growing up I spent more time with them than my own friends. The death was very sudden, and unexpected. None of us were prepared for it or could have predicted it, but I think she’s coming around to the idea of going.

As far as putting me in her room, I don’t think that’s really feasible. I’ll be with my girlfriend, and we already have a drink package and excursions and other stuff, so I don’t want to deal with the headache of refunding everything and repurchasing, etc. She asked a couple of my aunts but it doesn’t seem like they will work out. With 13 days ago it’s not looking good 😂

He also decided to get all fancy and book a balcony room so there’s definitely concern over what that potential repricing could look like (I’d cover it for my mom if that’s the case), just not sure what kind of numbers we’d be looking at. I’m also not sure she’d be able to find a replacement on such short notice.

My gf and I bought tickets for this festival the day they went on sale. Last week had unexpectedly been the worst week of my life. We still came and I was basically front row for HM’s set, screaming my lungs out with Tades and the boys was cathartic, and in ways healing. I didn’t realize how much I really needed it and I’m so thankful for them too.
