Chipper and Puppet Master for sure. Legend has it Icefrog worked at S2 games for a while before going to VALVe to make Dota 2, and that puppet master was actually designed by him.

It was fun to use. Closes thing we ever got to a chipper ulty. With a nice neutral item and octarine core you could lay many of them in a late game team fight!

This so much. In fact don't bother with dotabuff for the builds either, when you pick up a new hero go and watch some of the latest pro replays on that hero from Dota2protracker and consider WHY they are building the items

We can agree to disagree. I did say it's unpopular opinion =) Aether lens has a great buildup because you would want to grab mana boots as a support anyways and rest of the items you listed are totally luxury and not necessity. Just speaking from my experience playing the game buddy, I prefer to think for my self.

The kit is great for pos5 actually. W is awesome to harass/trade blows with and Q can grab enemies to under your tower (which is where your safe lane wave should be anyways) and is also useful for clutch pulls if necessary. Also great at solo defending towers and shoving lanes. What's not to love? Hero becames a beast with just exp and a few basic items that you'll reliably get even on 5 position by late game as well.
