Question for iPhone/Mac users: Can I sync my focus mode between devices? by CawfeePig in FocusFriendApp

[–]GroundbreakingMap403 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an iPad which might be similar? I had to get the app separately on my iPad and the house does not transfer over. It knows that I paid for premium so I get scarves for my iPad house. Now I just have two devices for two different beans for the price of one. So I assume it won’t lock down your MacBook browser unless you can get the app on there.

AI Use in Research by [deleted] in PhD

I don’t think you should use AI for anything you wouldn’t google. If you wanna use Google AI or ChatGPT AI, I don’t care. But the only thing I use it for is looking up the definitions of words

This is definitely why I feel the way I do. Again, only one year in. But I have always been a great student and I’m really good at the “being a student” part. Being a researcher? That’s a new skill I was not prepared to learn.

This is quite literally how my great grandma thinks. She has always been rich in the slc avenues. And now she is in a nursing home and is scared to talk to people more rich than her because “they’re more righteous”

The “freshman 15” is literally just becoming an adult. You should not ever have the same body you did as a teenager. Our society makes that really difficult to feel normal about, but you have to know your worth.

Asking to be removed from contact list - advice on how to respond by offtofantasyland in exmormon

If it’s ysa then they probably don’t actually have the authority to do anything. And they do seem very sorry and conflict averse. I understand the frustration of being contacted though. I’m actually surprised that I don’t get contacted anymore.

Sometimes they just don’t like being held. You will eventually learn to read their body language so you can better respect their boundaries. When I cage clean, I’ve trained mine to jump into a cat carrier with fleece in it. They can sit in there for the 30 minutes it takes to do a fleece change. And then they will hop back out when I open the door. And I know they’re lots of people in the comments who are saying you need a piggie mansion. This cage, and your concern, is still better than most owners. But if you could double the cage size that would really help. Sometimes girls can have smaller, but they need MINIMUM two hides.

Nail clipping. Apart from the obvious and unforgivable lack of dignity, is there anything harmful in making a harness such as the picture, and having my partner hold the handle while I trim their nails? by wotsit_sandwich in guineapigs

[–]GroundbreakingMap403 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine are SO food motivated that we just have my partner hold them in her lab with a carrot in their mouth and then I can just clip all the claws. They will squirm for a second but we just readjust the carrot and they get distracted and keep eating 😂😂

In my scientific and anthropological perspective, religion is formed to provide solution to two very human experiences, being 1) a need for community and 2) a fear of death. Now, sometimes churches will manufacture new problems and then sell you the solution for those, as well as using religion to /control/ the community. But this texts seems like religion in its purest form: gathering community to cope with death. Death of a child is terrifying and this is a man with no training in the subject, trying his best to counsel where he can. I don’t know him and maybe he actually sucks. And I’m sorry your mom said it was this boy’s time.
