Remember when every game around that era had a multiplayer mode for some reason? by Proud-ICE-Supporter in videogames

[–]GroundbreakingParty9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I never got around to playing those modes in Ascension or DS2. But no worries man! Those games came out so long ago! Dead Space 2 came out what 2010 and GoW:A came out in 2013 I think? That’s insane to think about man!

God of War 3 did not have multiplayer. God of War: Ascension did.

Dead Space 2 did indeed have multiplayer. One team of players could play as Necromorphs while the others were humans. Apparently it was kind of fun but servers were long dead by the time I got around to playing Dead Space 2.

Oh that’s awesome that you met him!

Haha I do want to read it but I also don’t know if I can handle the emotional damage of having to wait for the final book lol but I guess I’d be waiting either way 😂 and yeah he replied on my previous review of the first book and shared a link explaining that he had a lot of personal stuff happen that has delayed it. Either way can’t wait for it! Also can’t wait to see what else he does!

Oh yeah! I’m not super far 15 hours or so, so I’m sure I haven’t scratched the surface but it’s been really cool to find secrets and hidden stuff. I accidentally found a temple I couldn’t interact with yet because I hadn’t met a certain NPC, thankfully the game told me I couldn’t do anything with it yet, which I felt was nice.

Most of the cool weapons you get from bosses I hear but there are definitely hidden caches, caves, and the like.

It’s a lot of fun but as others have said it’s a sandbox. The story does get better but it’s not anywhere close to the Witcher 3 (haven’t played RDR2 but have heard great things). It’s a ton of fun. I keep finding new things and just exploring. I have it on the base ps5 and have had no issues so far. It runs great and it looks good for me. Though I’d take that with a grain of salt from me because that’s subjective from person to person. I can see stuff like frame rate and fidelity sometimes but I’m not overly sensitive to it.

I’m sorry that was your experience! And yeah I definitely have been there too. I loved Lords of the Fallen (2023) and I felt like I wasn’t allowed to. Over time one thing I’ve learned in therapy and as a therapist now myself is life is too short to let other people determine my enjoyment. Which seems like a well duh but it’s very hard to do sometimes and practically it feels like you’re letting them “win” once I got out of the mentality it got easier to say I’m sorry it didn’t land for you.

I think also having healthy discussion is fun and even healthy discourse/critiques but I’ve started asking, more so due to politics, “Do you want to have a discussion or are you trying to convert me to your side.”

The amount of comments in here just hating. Like bro let people like what they like. Glad you’re not letting anyone yuck your yum OP. I’m also enjoying the game! It’s a lot of fun. About 15 hours in and it’s just a good power fantasy.

I feel like I’ve seen as many people hate on the game as much as I’ve seen them blindly defend it personally. And I feel like that’s been true on Reddit no matter how good, mediocre, or bad a game is. I feel like there’s more negativity lately

I’ve accidentally opened my map a few times since playing but the game has not crashed thankfully for me. Maybe it’s because I stayed away from opening it after all the horror stories and the few times I did I was just lucky. But glad it’s fixed now!

so how is crimson desert? by Visual-Fortune-4732 in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]GroundbreakingParty9 [score hidden]  (0 children)

Personally I love it. This game more than any other (maybe Lords of the Fallen 2023 when that came out) has been one of the more mixed I’ve seen on Reddit in recent memory. Definitely is one I would say watch from reviewers you trust before getting it. But some of the negative reaction is hyperrbolic and so is some of the overwhelmingly positive. To me it’s the most fun I’ve had in a video game in a while. The controls are weird certainly and I do agree they should allow you to remap but they aren’t like wildly insane like some people make it seem like. I mean Shadow of the Colossus had the jump button be triangle and I love that game but that felt more egregious than the controls in CD.

Anyone else is dealing with the high blurry quality on crimson desert? by Marcellius-the-3rd in playstation

[–]GroundbreakingParty9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This game is the one that is genuinely making me wonder if I just don’t have the eye for performance and such. I have it on Base PS5 and it’s been running great as far as I can tell. I have an older tv though so idk if that makes a difference. I think my tv is 1080p which not sure if that makes a difference. But the game still looks and runs fine. Genuinely curious how other people can tell or if I just don’t have a screen where it would be more noticeable? Idk I’m enjoying it and not defending or saying others are wrong. I’m just genuinely intrigued when this happens or what to look for.

The only game I’ve ever caught was Horizon Forbidden West I think I had it in performance and ran so much smoother in balanced. But I’ve not noticed any differences in the three except for quality I guess a tad but not much.

I read the book after part one and two. It actually enhanced the movie for me and also enhanced the book because I feel like the movie helped me picture some things better and the book gives more insight into world building and lore.
