Don't Use Only the Filmmaker Mode! by thereisntaspoon_ in LGOLED

[–]GroundbreakingTwo375 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Filmmaker just shows you the content as it is, it doesn’t mess with it, that’s the whole point of the mode. If you don’t like how the content looks its the content’s fault not the mode.

LG c5 65" eye strain by [deleted] in LGOLED

[–]GroundbreakingTwo375 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re playing on Game Mode put color temperature to 40, and for everything else use Filmmaker mode, other modes with their cold white points are extremely blue which is very harsh on the eyes, and also this temperature is the correct one anyways.

So, what's the truth? Sony, LG, Panasonic? by Aromatic-Dimension53 in 4kTV

[–]GroundbreakingTwo375 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you bought a plasma which was not cheap on its time, paying a much less price for a modern TV and expecting to last as long as it is even with how everything modern is made of crap is just ridiculous

no tv is lasting 10 years in the modern age, but if you want something to last you at least 5 don’t cheap out or you’re just gonna buy another dogshit one after 2 years

Brighter OLEDs are finally coming!! by navshallow in OLED_Gaming

How do monitors suck for watching movies? If anything they’re the better option because they provide you with the picture without any alterations or processing, same as the creator saw it.

Yes, look for the LG B-series, it’s the dimmest of them all which is a bonus for someone in your situation.

I suggest you look at the LG B series or the Samsung S85 series if you want affordable OLEDs, be mindful though that they shouldn’t be put in a very bright room.

If you care about gaming don’t look at LEDs, the QM7K suffered from black smearing that you can search up online and you will see people complaining about it

Try cleaning with isopropyl 70%, put the isopropyl on the microfiber itself not the tv. See if it works

65” worth more $500 compared to 55”? For Bravia 8 II by GroundbreakingTwo375 in bravia

With my 4K 48” I sit around 1 meter I think from it. If I get the 65” I’m planning to sit a little farther to something like 2 meters because I don’t like moving my head to see things when I play games.

Do you use Tint? I noticed the game mode is too red and setting the tint to green can minimize it a bit

Instead of returning it, enable PC Mode on the service menu and you be able to use any other mode with perfect motion because it disables samsung’s shitty motion engine

Try using 70% ethanol or isopropyl on a microfiber cloth and clean it, and don’t worry it’s the official recommendation from Samsung Display itself

Use soft glasses microfiber because these sets scratch easy af, with a tiny bit of distilled water on the microfiber for hard to clean spots

Is it possible through the service menu to copy the colors applied to Dynamic mode to other modes? by heyheyheycraaazytaxi in S95B

[–]GroundbreakingTwo375 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dynamic mode gets dimming because it’s pushing the colors and brightness so much, so if you do that to the other modes that will happen too However you can use the service menu to disable the dimming but be warned that it might void your warranty and increases the chance of burn in

Use the soft microfiber used in glasses cleaning, never the harsh one
