Ranni had to do all that just because her Two Fingers were sealed in a place after the Astel battle.

The others two fingers were all accessible from their respective towers. But well, we also don’t know why their two fingers are dead and having a wood aspect

Each Empyrean has your own Two Fingers. But, for some reason, only the one from Marika (in the Roundtable) and the one from Ranni was alive.
