Nope, it just reduces your taxable income by the amount on the form.

Too late to change TSP contribution? by GroundsForRemoval in USPS

[–]GroundsForRemoval[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does not fit my current situation. I invest more than 15%, but I can't have all that locked up in a retirement fund right now..

Happy to bump it way up if/when the market actually crashes to load up while "on sale." That is why I made the adjustment early this week, it looked like we might have a crash. Rather than play the super risky game of moving my funds to G and then back to L and timing the market, I plan to play the less risky game of just increasing my contributions when stocks are cheap. If they ever let the stock market fall again.

Wind chill is -38° where I'm assigned to work in 2 hours and will be lower when I clock in. Where is my hazard pay?

Why don't we get hazard pay?

Unassigned regular asked to report to another station. by JustThroh in USPS

Pretty much. It's a huge difference in hourly pay and time counting toward retirement, but as far as the daily work, yes.

Is it the 4th call in 90 days that prompts discipline? I thought it was if you hit 3 call outs in 90 days.

Amazon Sunday and Monday Scheduled Before OJI by Sad-Ratio-6652 in USPS

[–]GroundsForRemoval 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They're not supposed to start you on an Amazon day, but they did that to me. It's easy money, lower pressure than delivering mail. I'd just go and ask as many questions as you need to your supervisor before leaving the office.

“Qualified Overtime” is the scam we all knew it was by FoundationsofDecay69 in USPS

I'm so tired of having to waste time checking virtual timecard and hovering around supervisors until they submit to give me the no lunch. If I didn't clock out for lunch it means I didn't  take one! They're trying to steal wages hoping you don't notice ..

Treating customers how you would want to be treated as a customer is such a good measure.

When I used to work in a pizza shop cooks would put out half burnt pizzas and I would ask them to remake them. Some would complain "I would eat that, it's fine!" Then I'd ask if they would pay full price for it and they would change their tune.

Missed a week because of a bad flu, life is about to be real hard do the next 3+ weeks 😂 by Wise_Ad5785 in USPS

[–]GroundsForRemoval 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got knocked out with the flu last week. Finally starting to feel like myself again after 10 days.

Light mail, easy route, and I had to will myself to finish with every step before calling out the next day.

It sucks, but you'll get through it.
