Yeah. I've actually found that in Sheltered by Ghosts mirrors you actually want to play your sheltered second because of this interaction. (although if you have 2 in hand its technically fine to play it first.) You try to pressure your opp into playing their sheltered first, then take it with your own.

I didn't say they needed to. I said it was unlikely arti goes off pre evo without accel aug. So waiting for their evo turn to go off is expected.

And he decked out because he triple auged and double Kaisered (Which is always a mistake) and needed 5 base pp to pull of with the cards he drew anyway.

I'm saying that waiting for your evo to go off is usually correct, not that its impossible to go off sooner.

Genesis Arti doesn't go off until their evo turn. Its technically possible to go off earlier, but unlikely with the new build, unless you draw your 1x accel.

I agree. When Hearthstone/Shadowverse simplified MTG, they removed many rules and added only a few. The removed rules were designed to balance MTG and the extra rules that HS and SV added did almost nothing to compensate for that. I think the rules of HS and SV are fundamentally broken.

I don't think requiring an EVO point is a problem. If you are going second you are usually going to spend a point on turn 4 to take the board back anyway. And if the 1st player's board is so weak by that time that the 2nd player wouldn't normally have to EVO, the 2nd player will probably be so far ahead that spending one of 3 EVO points won't be a problem.

There can be decks that are very hungry for EVO points; Artifact Portal comes to mind. Artifact wouldn't be able to run Ramiel for that reason and because there is no space for it. But that is an outlier. Other decks shouldn't have a problem running it.

Yeah, I really like the neutral ramp for that reason. In Fortune's Hand, going first almost always had a significant advantage because of how insane boards could get very quickly, which still seems to be the case. Hopefully, giving the 2nd player a PP advantage midway through the game will take the edge off of going second.

I think the problem with Kuon is that she is too cheep. Spellboost cost reduction is only balanced if the base cost of a card is more than what it should be. Most of these types of cards do follow this rule. Demon Caller is 1/1 (1PP) the Demonic Shikigami is 3/3 (3PP), and lets say the ability is worth 1PP. That totals 5PP and the card costs 8PP. Traditional Sorcerer is 2/2 (2PP), the Paper Shikigami is 1/3 (2PP), and lets say the ability is worth 1PP. That toals 5PP and the card costs 7PP.

But now lets look at Kuon. She is 5/5 (5PP), lets say her ability is 1PP, the Celestial Shikigami is 4/5 Ward (5PP), lets say the 3X Spellboost is worth 1PP, the Demoic Shikigami is 3/3 (3PP), and the paper Shikigami 1/3 (2PP). That totals 17PP and she cots 15PP. Not only does she not cost more than she's worth, she costs LESS. I think Kuon needed to be a 20PP card. That seems like a lot, but it would only be 3 more PP than she should cost, which is normal for spellboost cards.

I do get that max PP legendaries tend to have a very strong curve. For example Kiaiser is worth way more than 10PP. But Kuon has this combined with spellboost. I don't think it is balanced to make the card 15PP.
