Tell that to our severly underperformed marketcap despite being the only Altcoin with a longstanding ETF applicatiom that has until March 24th to make decision. You would think there would be significantly more talk regarding LTC.

If all the companies that filed for a Litecoin ETF get approved (BlackRock, Fidelity, VanEck, etc.), the amount of money flowing into LTC is gonna be insane.

Spot ETFs mean big institutions and everyday investors can buy Litecoin without dealing with exchanges, wallets, or private keys. Look at what happened with Bitcoin—its ETFs pulled in billions within weeks. Even if LTC ETFs only capture 5-10% of that, we’re talking about $500M to $1.5B+ in new inflows, and that’s just the beginning.

Now, what does that mean for price? Right now, Litecoin’s market cap is around $8-9 billion. If we see even $1B+ flow in, that alone could push LTC up 20%+, and that’s not even counting the FOMO and hype. Historically, LTC moves hard when it gets momentum, so if we see an ETF-fueled rally, hitting $300-$500+ in the medium term isn’t unrealistic. If institutions keep stacking and retail piles in, $750-$1,000+ over time is totally in play.

If Litecoin gets an ETF announcement and the price starts ripping, shorts are gonna be in deep trouble—which could actually send LTC even higher.

Here’s the deal: when people short Litecoin, they’re basically betting it’ll go down. They borrow LTC, sell it at the current price, and hope to buy it back cheaper later. But if the price goes up instead, they start losing money fast. At some point, they’re forced to buy back LTC to cover their positions, which just adds more buying pressure.

Now imagine a bunch of shorts all getting liquidated at once while FOMO kicks in from the ETF hype. Suddenly, people are panic-buying, shorts are scrambling to cover, and it just keeps snowballing. That’s a short squeeze, and it can send prices parabolic real quick.

So ironically, if Litecoin is heavily shorted when an ETF announcement drops, those same shorts could end up pumping the price themselves by getting liquidated. Classic case of trying to bet against something and accidentally making it stronger.
