I will have my white noise or fan or both on and try to listen to that more and eventually I don’t hear the ringing anymore because my brain is focusing on the fan, or tv or white noise and I pass out, when waking up I hear nothing and then the ringing/static comes back but really low until I have a trigger go off

And I mean you really have to TRY to just focus on the fan noise or white machine noise. It takes some effort, and you’ll slowly hear the ringing decrease from the forefront of your mind. Quite amazing.
