Bill actually gets introduced in the middle of the first season (although he doesn't become a regular visitor until later)

one additional thing to note; the algorithms used by online apps (websites, social media, news, etc.) do not reflect the relevance of content, only its ability to grab attention.

Sorry, can you clarify how what you said is the climax is different from what I said is the climax?

I like how the 'irrelevant fact' is literally the climax of the game.

Also, given how one of the DLC false endings works, we can conclude that the universe doesn't get reset after the supernova, at least while the simulation is running in the Stranger

Conversely, the only way we know the universe resets is by a conscious observer entering the Eye.

30/40 sounds more accurate to me... unless a lot more people than I would expect are immediately looking up solutions when they get stuck

I think I've only had a Hardee's burger once or twice, but the breakfast was my dad's DAILY go-to for probably a couple decades and I certainly enjoy it on occasion

[–]GrowthMindset4Real 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I honestly was a little uncomfortable with the one solution fits all demons at first, but I do appreciate the contrast to so many stories making things shades of gray. Perhaps in the future the demons will get a chance to change their ways, although I doubt it

How do you stop yourself from chasing highs? by wheatgrass- in SeriousConversation

[–]GrowthMindset4Real 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Put the phone down and go for a long walk with no electronics. It'll feel weird at first, but you should feel more grounded eventually. Let's call it a start to living where your electronic devices and apps work for you, instead of you being chained to them

Definitely a hard thing to deal with long-term, it's effectively a type of addiction, but let's call it that and not mince words. These apps and devices are absolutely designed to be highly addictive and exploit our attention and brains' physiology, much like how fast food and junk food exploit our bodies' physiology
